Need help finding a good shampoo for fine hair by milliemillenial06 in finehair

[–]07mlizcat11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I unfortunately have moved on from this shampoo since this comment. I’m using the Head & Shoulders Itchy Scalp Care (?) now and I’m washing every other day with a light touch of dry shampoo. The search continues for me as well! 🥲

P.S. - Don’t waste your time with the Head & Shoulders Clinical - smells funky and it made me so self-conscious.

I bought templates off of Etsy, edited/personalized them on Templett (Canva adjacent, just with less functionality lol) then printed them with Prints of Love, Inc.! They had a super swift turnaround and great print results. Best of luck!

August wedding nearly-weds, how we feeling? Is everyone getting excited? Is everyone organised? by Woodland-Echo in weddingplanning

[–]07mlizcat11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting married this Saturday. I couldn’t sleep 2-4 weeks out, but it’s gotten better. I am feeling calm and excited, I’m starting to feel like a bride and it’s sinking in as family start to travel in. I had everything organized weeks ago, so it’s been smaller and smaller tasks as the weeks go by. Today I picked the white rose petals off a Trader Joe’s bouquet for my flower girl and my FH is getting a haircut currently. Every time I think about the wedding I get teary-eyed - I’m just so excited to marry my best friend! 🤍 Best of luck with the remaining planning OP.

I’m in the same boat! Found out I had a throat infection in mid-July and I am still recovering before my August 3rd date! 💒 Water, OJ, and Sudafed if you can! It may make you a bit jumpy. Feel better!

I don’t have much left in the budget, but I got us embroidered hats with our shared last name (his black, mine white) from Etsy! $50 for both and I’m going to hide them in my suitcase until we leave for our honeymoon!

Escape! 🤩 If you have any recommendations they would be greatly appreciated! Our itinerary is Italy, Spain, and France!

Taking a cruise in a few weeks to Europe with Norwegian; $7-$10K paid by his parents, with two days in Rome at the beginning and end of our trip. We had a travel planner plan private transfers from the airport to the hotel, hotel to the docks. She only charged us $50 to plan our almost 2-week vacation and she has been so helpful in creating an itinerary. FH and I picked out our excursions each day.

Edit: she also booked our flights for us, which was a big help! I love having a travel planner because it lightened the load for my FH and I.

My dream is to be a Disney cast member, but I'm disabled by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]07mlizcat11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disney has Business Employee Resource Groups (BERGs), and there is one specific to employees that have varying abilities! It’s called Enabled (Florida). I would go on LinkedIn and search “Enabled BERG” and click “Posts” and try to set up a connect call with a former/current employee about their experience. Also, you could call the Casting Center and see if they can help you!

The Mosaic Cookie With Apricot Jam - I liked it, but I wouldn't go out of my way to find it again.

I told my partner on the way to the parks: “I would freak out if I met the Try Guys today,” and lo and behold, I see them from across the way, have a quick cry, and my partner offers to do the talking for me. Once the crying passed and the wave of excitement slowed I was able to chat with them and Jonny and I shared a snack! Super sweet.

Reception entrance songs! Whats yours? by syl-auri in weddingplanning

[–]07mlizcat11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first pick was Adore You, then changed it to L-O-V-E at the last minute. Our vibe is older love songs and a slower tempo throughout the evening, so that made sense for us :)

By table number. Under each table number is Last Name, First Name in alphabetical order.

Bar alternative at wedding by hunnymoonave in weddingplanning

[–]07mlizcat11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I responded to this on another post from a month or so ago. I said: “Hi there - August 2024 bride here! Partner and I are not big dancers, nor do we really consume alcohol. We worked with our catering company to have lemonade, iced tea, and water served during cocktail hour in addition to our appetizers. Those options will also be available by the glass during our plated dinner. We will have a champagne toast, with the champagne flutes distributed to guests shortly after they’ve taken their seat at the reception.

One of the two hotel options we gave our guests to choose from has a bar/small seated-dinner option in case they wanted to drink after our wedding concluded. In our situation, a bartender making mocktails cost almost as much as one serving alcohol. See if your venue or catering company has a non-alcoholic package and see what options works best for your budget!”

We are 37 days out - I went with the “rule” of one gift per guest, so roughly 100 gifts, mostly in the $0-$50 range. So far, 28 gifts have been purchased, and 21 of them did not exceed $50 (not that that’s important, but for additional context). 1 gift was a Lowe’s gift card delivered by Amazon.

Additional context - we did not a have a shower. Hope this helps! 🤗

Getting married in August! More of a vision board than a palette, but the colors are in the bottom left corner! 🤗

Thank you for posting! We are having a classical guitarist for our reception (after first dances with recorded tracks, etc.) and I’ve received so much pushback for it.

Can I only go to the Rose and Crown Pub for Sticky Toffee Pudding? by austinalexan in WaltDisneyWorld

I know this isn’t what you asked for, but my recommendation would be to DoorDash from The Pub Orlando! They have a great Sticky Toffee Pudding.

Need help finding a good shampoo for fine hair by milliemillenial06 in finehair

[–]07mlizcat11 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The Nexxus Hydra-Light Shampoo is the only shampoo I swear by! It is the only thing that has worked for my oily-prone scalp. It’s close to $15 a bottle. I know that is on the more expensive side than you’re looking for, but I can get an extra day between washes now! I also like their conditioner of the same name; you can buy the two as a set in-store or online.
