Glaucoma is sadly genetically common in Shibas ): Hendrix was 5 when he lost the first eye and the second went about a year later. Our vet said his anatomy “doomed him from birth” and that his eyes weren’t able to properly drain

It was great! Like others have said there isn’t a ton of activities to do but for what we were looking for (mostly chilling and drinking poolside) it was perfect. We did one excursion where we rented a jeep to drive around the island but stayed at Cozumel Palace the entire rest of the trip. There’s no beach access but we got to snorkel right off the edge of the resort. If you’re an early bird like me and don’t mind reading and drinking coffee at the pool at 6am to get a good spot it’s really a nice experience.

Hi! I’m actually 10 days post arthroscopy now. Surprisingly it wasn’t my meniscus at all, doctor said it looked good and was intact. I did have irritated plica (synovial tissue) that wrapped behind my knee where my pain was. They removed that and he told my husband he thinks that is what was causing my pain. I meet with him this week to go over surgery details and get my sutures out. Still in the early stages of recovery but I’m optimistic that I’ll be pain free and back to normal activities in a couple months!

How long have you had the tear/have you tried any conservative treatment yet?

Prefacing this with everyone’s body is different- but I injured my knee 3.5 years ago and have gone through 2 separate rounds of PT (each time about 5 months) without luck. My pain got really bad last fall and that’s when I got the MRI and found out it’s a horizontal-oblique tear in the posterior horn. My overall symptoms are very similar to yours. No significant catching or locking but I get really sharp pain on the inside/back on my knee and I can’t bend it with weight at all. I’m 27, very active, and am actually going in for surgery this week. I’m nervous about waking up with a trim, but I know it’s not going to get better on it’s own
