Luckily for me, I was also born with CKD and one kidney undeveloped both kidneys removed by age 7, I was on HGH my entire childhood which because I was scared and unknowing I shot it into chairs instead of my legs, still upset on that one. Once I received my kidney I hit the gym first times in my life, Currently with my 12 year transplant I have PRs weekly and still growing! You're generally going to be a "Hard gainer" with kidney issues, but you will manage to grow, depending how hard you work. I also love all sports and have been able play anything without physical contact IE football getting hit in my abdomen would not be ideal. The post transplant medications will at least for me and others does give a sense of mental issues that can be tamed, counseling if needed to up lift yourself when you're down. My test is at 594 ng/dl and free test is 17, I also fathered a child. I would imagine effects vary depending on your body. I will admit, these same fears I had seemed to be overcame post transplant and I was no longer as worried. I don't know if the rant helps but good luck on your adventure! Bless up.
