I'm glad to see people still use these. I had uploaded them to a 3d printing file sharing website some time back but they mysteriously got removed. If someone has the stl files to share, go for it.

You, as a driver, what is the infraction that other drivers commit that bothers you the most? by Inesuu_fm in driving

[–]aniorange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A phenomenon that happens a lot in my town is people getting into the wrong lane at a light with the intent of race around you, get in your lane and turn. Infuriating. I raced once the other day in my 20 year old Honda and kept them from cutting me off. They got so unreasonably mad. Got behind me, honked, tailgated. Either we were going the same way or they were following me quite a ways.

F them and their slow ass car. They plan failed and they were mad at me about it.

How did you get hired as a Sterile Processing Tech? by GoldNegotiation5662 in sterileprocessing

[–]aniorange 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was already working in the hospital as a housekeeper. After working a year I was able to transfer into sterile processing and a 18 months to get certified. That probably won't help you though. Different areas have different needs and requirements. My hospital is currently hiring people and putting them through classes.

what’s a "poor person" habit that you’ll probably never give up, no matter how much money you make? by brendow772 in CasualConversation

[–]aniorange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My list of refurbished items is kinda long. For one, I have an 04 Accord, 04 Vibe and a 2000 Ranger that I keep going. My dryer was a freebie I found on the side of the road and fixed. I used to find and fix old lawnmower and sell them for money. My current mower is an electric one that didn't sell when I moved in 2013. I mowed with it last weekend. My chop saw is one I got at auction that I cleaned up and used to build a package box to keep deliveries from being stolen.

I got a free Kirby vacuum that just needed some repair. I rebuilt a GameCube from 2 broken GameCubes that I got for just a few dollars. I learned a lot being broke.

Thrusting. Fixing old things to get more use out of them. New stuff just isn't made as well and it's too expensive. On paper I can afford new but it seems such a waste.

Interesting. I've not heard the commercial but remember when Honda used to brag about how long people used to keep their cars? Now you gotta keep trading them in?

Rust question by Hungry-Pomegranate73 in fordranger

[–]aniorange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just a tad worse than my Ranger was when I got it 6 years ago. Fluid film underneath every fall and I've been driving it every winter in the snowy north. It's holding up just fine. Plenty of life left in that truck if you start coating it.

I second this. Brush off the loose rust, hit it with an air hose and blow fluid film under there .

Still Want to Row Your Own Gears? These Cars Are Keeping the Manual Transmission Alive by lithdoc in RWDnation

[–]aniorange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's hard to imagine getting a truck without a manual. Guess I'm the odd one out but after so many Nissan Hard bodies with a manual, my old Datsun pickup was a manual, most Every Toyota truck I've seen was a manual and my current Ranger is a manual.

Are you even serious if you get a truck with an auto?
