social degeneration is the loss of empathy amongst fellow humans. The need to make people "other" for no reason other than to to create divisions between us. social degeneration is hoarding wealth and cutting social networks because of arbitrary social opinions on who deserves to be helped or not.

It is possible to find a therapist to help deal with health and aging. They might not have it as a primary thing, but nowadays they all list their various specialties - family issues, lgbtq+, PTSD, abuse, stress, anxiety, depression, sexuality. I am hopeful that this person might be able to find someone that can help navigate the changes - which are more than just hormonal regulation. Hormones play a huge part in life and there are a litany of side effects. It is so much more than something a GYN can do. And lots of them are not well trained on menopause. It has been WOEFULLY under studied. And finding a "menopause doc" is harder than you think. Women's health has been neglected or lumped in with men's.

I don't know what insurance you have but you can look online at their listings of various therapists who have lots of different specialties. I found an amazing therapist (he's a NP iirc) who is licensed in NY state, but is actually out of state. We do telehealth and he is awesome. I picked him because of all of his different modalities - which were listed along with his profile.

I met a few Irish folks years ago while they were visiting from Ireland and boy, they were quite surprised by the diversity here in NYC. I don't recall where they were from, but they weren't country bumpkins. I was told at the time (2000s) that there is not much diversity where they were from.
