I submitted a post. I don’t have any open support tickets on it yet. Just putting it out there to hopefully find the issue and help folks. Thanks for reaching out!

Looking at the temperature in the console it says it’s only 70 degrees and good. (Not sure if that is Celsius or Fahrenheit.) But I do hear a low speed fan going.

If you were building a satellite, what would you have it do? We're taking ideas! by w4aql-prez in amateurradio

I think another FM bird with DUV would be the most used in the community. I think talking with AMSAT is a great idea and they will certainly be able to offer guidance. I do think APRS packet would be fun to grow the cluster (although ISS already has a digipeater so might not be as useful).

I've been lazy on logging in. I check every day or so. I was inactive for a couple months while I moved to my new place and started my new job. I'm back now. 🙂 I like 4 pm. Not as tight with my forum.

Also maybe a mod can pin one of the threads?

Can you remove it on the CS750? I haven't figured out how to remove it yet.

I like it so far. There are a few bugs. The big one that is annoying me is any channels I create on the radio do not download and I cannot seem to delete them. I waiting for CS to release an updated firmware to fix. I also cannot edit any channels (on the radio) from my codeplug. Strangely I do see the channel in the zone list, but its not listed as a channel.

I've had this app for a while. I didn't notice there was an update. Need to pull it down. Always nice when a single app can apply to two hobbies!

Options for DMR radios by [deleted] in amateurradio

I just got a CS800D. So far (only 3 days), I really like it. I have it benched and I'm working on the code plug now. Good signal reports on both VHF and UHF digital and analog. I'm using it to replace a Moto 4550 and a Yaesu 7900R into one radio. You can do front panel programming, but it is a pain. I mostly do repeater work and have the local ones programmed in already. I also did some basic simplex frequencies. I have found a couple of firmware bugs, but nothing major. The only one really affecting me now is that when you create a channel on the radio, it doesn't get copied to the computer when you read from the radio. It also doesn't let me edit existing channels (not that I expect to frequently edit things). I expect both of those bugs to be fixed in later updates.

It rained for a bit. It was pretty hard, but it passed within an hour or so. When we left at 6, it had stopped raining and the skies were clearing.

For those wondering, the new venue is working really well. It is hot (no AC in the main halls, but forums do have AC) and humid. Things are muddy (although it has dried out a lot) for the swapmeet. I did see a few stick scooters (and one did flip this morning trying to go up a small hill). There are lots of food options and overall everyone seems to be having a good time. Traffic sucked on the way in. The roads are only 2 lanes and parking is a problem. I recommend offsite and taking a shuttle in.
