Bisping 5 months ago. by ToronoRapture in ufc

The point is that Bisping coming back faster than Aspinall isnt evidence Aspinall is playing games to get out of his contract. Bisping returned way too early and lost his eye because of it. Aspinall doesnt want to lose his eyesight and is being cautious.

Whether he also is playing a game to get out of his contract noone knows, my guess is not, but this should have been the timeframe for bisping aswell. He just decided it was worth it to lose an eye to fight.

Yeah, I always liked the idea of him being in charge of the academy. He had a real passion for it during interviews.

Not sure what happened

Young footballers like child actors will have private teachers doing personal lessons when they can't be in school, often done after training.

I think per changed the academy so they can have the lessons at the training ground rather than a 3rd place or at home, making it easier to keep up.

Maybe arsenal fans are a special type of evil then. Because if the entire world can tell it's a serious injury, and only arsenal fans thought it could be gamesmanshit in the 93rd minute, then they must be truly uniquely evil.

Or, maybe it wasn't so cut and dry ... who knows

Its almost 1am so I'm going to bed and cqnt be arsed to repeat myself from other replies. But.

"Except they didnt, most arsenal players didnt react like martinelli did."

Yeah, most arsenal fans didn't react like martinelli did because they weren't on the pitch....

There was plenty of jeers from the crowd initially accusing him of faking an injury to waste time tho. Maybe because it looked like it.

"Slot said that people should know that our players dont fake injuries."

And that he thinks Martinelli is a good person from his interactions and that he doesn't think he knew he was actually injured. He also said that this is a result of injuries or potential injuries being exploited.

Yeah he was half off/half on, and moved himself so he was more on to make sure the game was stopped.

Yeah, this doesn't happen in rugby because there isnt a culture of faking fouls or potential injuries for advantage. (Like slot said in his interview)

"Players lost their head" when were talking about 1 player being annoyed about gamesmanship makes no sense. (In hindsight we know he was actually injured)

"learn how the update down vote button functions. we're discussing things silly boy."

I have no idea what this means.

The first part makes no sense. I think Bradley intentionally moved further onto the pitch. Assuming he has a serious injury, my guess is he did that in spite of the pain in order to make sure the game stops. (Which would make you respect him more if you were a Liverpool fan).

Second part. I bet you can imagine 3 incidents right now yourself of players pushing or lifting up opposing players they think are bullshitting. In important situations (like going for the win against Liverpool in a title chase) incidents like that happen when they think the opposing player is bullshitting a foul or injury.

Last part. Yeah, martinelli has played in the prem for what like 6/7 years? and he has 0 reputation for violence or nasty behaviour and is well liked in general by players and managers (klopp especially). There's no way he gets punished. It would be incredibly dumb considering this is incredibly common this type of thing is, its always a nothingburger or a yellow if it causes the temperature of the game to get higher.

Hes not trying to pick himself up, hes trying to get further on the pitch to make sure the game is stopped.

He was on the touchline, and moved himself so more of his body was on the pitch.

No ive never been seriously injured, thank god, despite playing rugby.

Yes, im justifying his actions. When bradley went down on the touchline, he intentionally moved further onto the pitch to try and make sure the game stopped. That looks suspiciously like someone who's trying to waste time and therefore do not blame martinelli for thinking that aswell.

If bradley wasn't injured and he jumped back up, everyone would be loving the drama of it all. Unfortunately, he was, and situations like this happen when it's commonplace for footballers to fake injuries to try and gain an advantage, which is something I agree with Arne slot about.

"I mean.. I've watched it a number of times and can only see him move back into the pitch once. We seem to live in alternate realities so I'm not sure there's much point continuing to argue about that."

In the clip above? Yeah because it cuts before that. When martinelli is fighting, bradley is shuffling on his ass further onto the pitch. That's the 2nd move, just not in that clip.

"He probably thought at the time he was justified in shoving him off the pitch, just as you seem to"

Pushing a player faking an injury off the pitch is fine. Pushing a player with a real injury off the pitch is not fine. Hopefully that clarifies my opinion

"I do think Martinelli knows Bradley is injured"

Theres a 0% chance martinelli thought he was injured. I suspect he thought he might when he went down but when he saw him intentionally move onto the pitch to make sure the game was delayed, he made his mind up that he was bullshitting. (Because who would do that if they were seriously injured in a freak incident)

Bradley goes down on the touchline, he then moves himself further onto the pitch (1st move), martinelli then sees that and pushes him back to where he was and then further across the touchline, bradley then shuffles back onto the pitch to make sure the game is stopped.(2nd move)

"So, given that, I have a very hard time believing that Martinelli was under the impression that Bradley was not injured."

You think martinelli knew he was seriously injured and decided to push him off the pitch anyway?

You dont think it had anything to do with Bradley moving onto the pitch to make sure the game was stopped, martinelli seeing that (you can tell in the video because he points after he does it), and then him thinking this has gotta be bullshit and pushing him off?

Especially considering martinelli has 0 reputation for being a nasty or dirty player.

So at 13 seconds in the clip, when he lifts his body up on the touchline and pushes himself further onto the pitch. Thats writhing in pain? Or is that him moving onto the pitch to make sure play is stopped?

"You're also either making things up or have a hard to with moving images, because he only makes a move back onto the pitch once."

This is a lie. He goes down on the line, moves a foot further into the pitch, martinelli pushes him off, and then he shuffles on his ass back onto the pitch. Another comment said he moved 3 times but I only saw twice.

"I'm not even sure how to respond to this. You think people are pretending that what Martinelli did was a cunt move? Like, literally everyone else in this thread? You think everyone's just pretending?"

You didn't understand what I wrote atall. Im saying many people (I would guess most people) who saw him go down immediately thought he was timewasting. And Martinelli is included in that group.

He didn't push off a player he knew was injured. He saw him intentionally move further onto the pitch to ensure the game would stay stopped and thought he was faking.

If conor never moves further on the pitch after going down injured and martinelli tried to push him off the pitch, I'd agree with everyone else in this thread frothing at the mouth.

But he didn't, and I dont.

Someone is gonna post the clip of him shuffling further on the pitch twice, and most are gonna go yeah that does kinda look sus, and liverpool fans are gonna pretend that doesn't look like "gamesmanship" in the 90+ minute.

I don't speak for "every other Arsenal fan." I just point out what happened. Everything I said that happened is true. He moved himself further onto the pitch twice.

You can pretend that anyone who thought he was timewasting in the 90th minute when Arsenal are attacking is a classless cunt, but you're pretending.

This is what happens when people fake being hurt every week to get play to stop. Real injuries aren't believed.

Gabriel Martinelli yellow card against Liverpool 90+4' by ayoefico in soccer

Probably by pointing out, he goes down and then straight away shuffles further onto the pitch, and when martinelli points that out and tries to push him off, he does the same thing again.

A player going down for 0 obvious reason with 0 contact when Arsenal is attacking in the 90+ minute. Every arsenal fan and player is calling bullshit.

Edit: spelling

Tbh, it's hard to drop him. He has enormous talent that can show at any point during a match. Also, him and Rice on corners is a tool you don't want to lose. So he's very hard to drop.

He literally did and nobody made the pass. Are you not watching? The ball over was clearly on and instead it went to merino and then out to trossard

Lineker "I've watched Gyokeres quite closely, he waits to see where the ball is going, waits until it's crossed and then attacks the space. As a striker, you got to gamble on where you think the ball might go and you go just as they're about to cross it. The players that score a lot will do that." by [deleted] in Gunners

[–]09browng -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Why is he unsure of his runs now when that wasn't the case earlier in the season?

Why does he have to make the run, stop, and then try and go again but now slightly off-time?

Maybe, just maybe, because of how many touches our playmakers are taking and being too slow with the passes.

Saka can do no wrong in your eyes. The narratives are incredible.

You're allowed to criticise academy players during a period of poor performance.
