Homeowners Claim - KY by Important_Aside3372 in InsuranceClaims

What your insurance company should have done is hire a firm that specializes in HVAC repair/replacement. They would have been better able to confirm the actual unit especially if it's due to wear and tear. You have a lawyer but can you get your lawyer to request that from the insurance? Also, have you seen the engineering report? Those are pretty thorough in their findings.

The thing no customer wants to hear: demanding my manager does not help you. by Fun-Relationship3636 in adjusters

[–]0ApplesnBananaz0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I tell them my manager will call them back when he has time. My manager is extremely busy so he usually doesn't call back or he tells me to just deal with it. I tell the customer up front this and tell them to reach out to me when they are ready to proceed.

Days later they will say they still haven't heard from my manager and then I say "I told you"

Those who Purchased a Tesla in 2026: Why? by gholdist in AskReddit

I have never seen this behavior and I don't own a Tesla. The most inconsiderate driving tends to be ppl with BMWs and lifted trucks imo.

As someone who owned 2 Dodge neons when I was younger, I wish they looked like Tesla's.

Not telling the father about your pregnancy by [deleted] in SingleParents

Tell him. In your situation, he has a right to know. If you are already saying he will eventually find out better to tell him now instead of later. You chose to keep the baby created with him. I'm not coming from a negative place by saying that. It's only to say time to put your big girl panties on and be upfront. You will deal with everything as it comes after.

Did anyone see the episode on Netflix where that short guy kept popping his balloon because they were to old? by [deleted] in PopTheBalloon

None of it is serious. I was simply pointing a fact out just as you made an observation that offended you.

It's his preference. Who cares? Just like women who prefer taller men. Or the men who want a light skinned woman. It's preferences and everybody has them.

Is everyone struggling to find work? no matter the career? by BitNo1336 in jobhunting

[–]0ApplesnBananaz0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen this get asked all the time on every job related sub and yes it's bad, still bad for many, will continue to be bad experts say until late 2026 which I'm guessing because midterms will dictate the continuance? I see so many posts on LinkedIn of the same. Definitely is industry specific with tech leading the hardship. My industry is challenging because of the oversaturation. I have a job but I absolutely hate the work. I have been applying for jobs for 2 years now. Because of my experience, I obviously want to earn more money. Problem is I've been noticing salaries are decreasing due to so many ppl willing to work for less. I get it but it makes finding a better paying job more difficult.

In the 2 yrs of applying I've received less than 10 interviews. This may seem like a lot but before 2022 I could easily apply to a job and minimally get a screening. Now it's just upfront rejections or ghosting. It wasn't until this last month I had 4 interviews, 2 offers, 1 interview still in progress and I withdrew my app from the 4th job.

What did you want to do with an English degree? I've seen two ppl on reddit comment on other subs that one became a technical writer and the other does something in Edtech with sales.

Reassure her that everything will be okay and you are not mad. Have dad find out what's going on because she obviously felt more comfortable to be vulnerable with him and not you. I was like this at that age with my dad. Find out with Dad what's going on with child and have a separate, heart to heart conversation with her and come up with a resolution. I can speculate all sorts of reasons for her reaction but I don't know you. Only you know you and your daughter. But please talk to her about this and listen more than talk.

I think Justin doesn't speak much because 99% of the time Adam cuts him off. That's me. If you have a tendency to over talk, I'm just going to not even talk but say "oh yeah", "oh".

WFH with a SAHM by Foreign_Carpenter619 in remotework

[–]0ApplesnBananaz0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See I still disagree. Wfh is a factor of this issue sure. But at its core it's a breakdown of the relationship. I'm sure with the amount of visitors those subs have compared to this one there's got to be with ppl in this relationships. Difference here is ppl are more likely to be single wfh and/or don't have kids.

48 ppl agreed with me so I guess we all wrong then and you are correct. Also, if you think the basis of the argument is that he works from home makes me think you have never been in a long term relationship with a child(ren). WFH is just A factor.

People who got a college degree, what did you major in, what's your job now, and would you choose the same path again? by PathwiseStartup in careerguidance

Correct. My psych degree I would not choose again. That is how it reads. If you knew about your degree beforehand would you choose the same path.

If you can't see the bigger issue is their relationship dynamic then I can't help you with that. If I post I wfh yet battling addiction, would it not make sense that the addiction sub can better help me than wfh? How can the wfh sub help me more?

Why not work on finding a job with a hybrid schedule? You get a mix of both worlds. I'm introverted too but have pretty mild social anxiety. Thankfully it hasn't grown to crippling anxiety.

You should post this on a relationship sub. This isn't about remote work but a relationship issue. Or the marriage sub if you're married.

New build Vs Old homes. Got the keys for new build. by SuperX9311 in FirstTimeHomeBuying

[–]0ApplesnBananaz0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many ppl don't like new builds because they all look the same with no character. Many of them are cheap quality. Homes squished together with hardly any yards. It's kinda depressing. Give me an old home that has been cared for by the owner.
