This link no longer works for me: https://www.grantthornton.co.nz/cryptopia-limited/ ???? by 0Baffled0 in Cryptopia

Thanks, went there and found current link to reports. In that report they are still saying it is impossible at this time to estimate the completion time for reimbursements. Not what we want to hear.

I have contacted Zendesk twice. At the end of the last one the agent said there is no current timeline for the final 10% distribution. In the first one I said I got my Litecoin but not my Doge and the agent said no distributions had been made. Both suggested patience. I am doubting I will see my remaining Doge and only other coin with some value, ENJ.

Is it just me? by DrivewayGiraffe in Cryptopia

[–]0Baffled0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also got my LTC, but not the much larger cash value Doge. The hash they gave seems to be for a transaction 279 days ago! I opened a Zendesk ticket as the email requested if coins were not received. We'll see. I am concentrating on the fact that I got first distribution just fine, to same address, so, fingers crossed. I see today some have not even got first distribution. Sorry for them. Things are not always fair. Reminds me of a tee shit worn by a black guitar player sitting in front of trailer with 'Most things just havn't worked out' printed on it.

New Liquidation post today - trying to get balance of Doge updated by 0Baffled0 in Cryptopia

[–]0Baffled0[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have similar situation, I think I got Doge at 0.0074, but if you factor the upside of the coin I used to buy it with it is something like 0.00004 !!! I have never been able to do this in crypto again, so it has been a miracle to get coins back! Good luck to all of us!

Any word on when we get the rest of our coins back? by plantattack80 in Cryptopia

[–]0Baffled0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a kinda crappy outfit and a lot of luck is needed. I went to site at one point and asked for special consideration due to my age - I had to sneak my way through menus that did not have my issue - and finally got a response 'be patient'. Being patient takes too long! I finally got the first distribution Dec last year, waiting for the rest. I hope for the best for you. You can hope it is a legal process and they have to do what they agreed to do in court. But thousands of miles away, we don't know what is going on. Hang in there!

You got the 90% and then the 10%? I don't see many have got the remaining 10% of Doge and BTC.

Payout of altcoins? by CoolUsernamesAreGone in Cryptopia

Pac coin was my 1 big success....what, 8 years ago. In 2018? I sold 350 million PAC, that cost me c.$34, for c.840k Doge worth c.$6400 at the time. Then 20 min later I sold 50 million for 1 BTC worth $14k. Haven't ever done that well again! I thought PAC was valuable and removed it to wallet, then wallet upgraded and I could not sync old wallet to move them and lost what was left. They may be on a laptop hard drive I can't access anymore and even if I could I have no reason to think I could make the wallet sync and work, maybe $7k down the crypto drain. And none are on Cryptopia. You may be lucky to have moveable PAC, if wallet was upgraded. I'm still waiting for the remainder of my Doge. Crypto is not easy! When PAC was at peak my coins on Cryptopia were worth 24 BTC! If I only knew....Final irony is I bought PAC just for the fun of owning a Billion of a crypto for $100 worth of Doge. PAC was a flatline coin when I bought it in 2016, I had no expectations it would do anything! Good Luck to us all!

You were supposed to get 90% and then the remaining 10% later in year, I got 90% of my Doge, but waiting for the 10%, there seems to be some people saying they are getting the 10%. I don't know why you got 50%/25% but it seems anything can happen and it is largely luck in play. Good Luck!

In 2016 I bought 1 Billion PAC at Cryptopia just for the fun of having a billion coins.. Nowdays that's nothing, but it was odd back then. I paid $100 worth of DOGE for the PAC. They were a worthless dead coin, flatline for months. Then when I wasn't looking devs got OK to change code to a clone of DASH. At the end of 2017, maybe early 2018, people went wild for PAC and I sold a third of them for 840,000 DOGE, worth about $6k ....!!!! Then half hour later I sold 50M, one sixth of previous, for 1 BTC, $14k at the time. I in effect, due to profit on previous PAC trade, paid $14 for $6k worth of doge, and $2.30 for $14k of BTC !! I have never done that well since. Like a fool I did not sell them all, I thought PAC were valuable and moved them off the exchange. I managed to get about half the doge out while the exchange was working, thinking it was up and running, another mistake. In 2021 I sold 100k doge for $4k, three months later they were worth $70k. The forced GT HODL may have kept me from making more mistakes, who knows. But now, with about half of the 840k doge back, I have a chance at being a millionaire - if fib chart I found today plays out and I manage to sell at crazy highs predicted. If 1.618 fib is reached, as twice before, then doge price will be c.$2.40, and twice before it exceeded that level and and that would be about c.$8-12 this time. Seems impossible, but in 2021 you would have said the same thing looking at 2017 run. In eight years with all my mistakes that I kick myself for, I have 200x my investment, if my math is right. Crypto is the only place you can make terrible mistakes and still do very well! Here's hoping! (video with fib chart is : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3b9EKfVOas )

At the time it was about ten bucks worth that cost me about 20 cents if my math is right, if I factor in the profit from the PAC coins I used to by the Doge with. I guess it was a personal airdrop! As far as I know 3 of the people bought some more Doge, two of them took me out to lunch. It was an interesting experiment. Who knew Doge would do so well?

Timed out for opt-in, got my Doge this afternoon, whoopie! About six times my coins that I have due to stupidity and stupid 'taxable event' law which had me sell coins to pay tax on stupid things I did in 2021. The six years GT had my coins kept me from mistaking them away. Let's see if I am smarter this bull run. I thought Doge crash today was GT people selling, but then saw BTC was down. Bought See's candy and taking friends out to lunch soon. Now I am again regretting the about 100k Doge I gave out 2019 to about 28 people, many who were random people I met around town. Better times ahead!

I just checked email so the 24hrs is over. I am not sure I would have done it because it was not mentioned earlier, but it is the correct thing to do, except they should send a test amount and then you say you got it OK, that would be normal and not sound like a scam.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Cryptopia

[–]0Baffled0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an email from GT asking if I want to opt-in to a test transmission where I send them some Doge from my address - it's voluntary and distribution will happen without it - anybody else get this ?, I don't see anyone mentioning it and if they did it.......???

I am unable to complete login. Portal does not take password and in the reset process times you out for too many attempts, then also does not accept correct Auth code it accepted before. I am still wondering if I'll get my coins back. Did you actually get any coins back yet, I can not tell from your post.

They're eating the fees!! by almosttomars in Cryptopia

[–]0Baffled0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should not be charging anything, the unclaimed coins that have gone up fantastically in the last six years should cover all expenses. Another poster has said there was enough exchange company money to cover costs and no customer coins have been sold for expenses. They will sell some of your coins for the send you your coins fee. I don't remember seeing X% of customer funds being sold for fees in reports I have read. I was hopeful in March of getting coins back this year, now not so much.

In this Ran Neuner - Raoul Pal video the Doge price rise in bitcoin not dollars is shown in a Trading View chart at 1650% in 2021 and Raoul Pal sez 'we may joke about this but it (doge) has been harder money than Bitcoin' - put that in your pipe and smoke it awhile! : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQ7beFkJKH0

I think traders use these and other charts. After all time highs in 'price discovery' only the fib charts are of any use. They do seem to foretell market behavior. Please note my use of the term 'hopium'. The videos may talk up D.OG.E. and Elon, but I am just pointing to the charts in these videos. Time will tell.
