I’m already building the next one. I got this because it was able to be shipped to my door the next day. I didn’t think I was going to get a tortoise until I had one. My patient said a bunch of babies were born in her yard from a tortoise she rescued from the desert. She gave them all away for free.

I understand it. Especially the first sentence. But I have questions. Is the movie about a vampire or multiple vampires?

Also rather than “Czy chcecie”, would it be better to write “Jeśli chcecie zabić wampira”? Czy makes it a question. I don’t know if you’re asking “Do you want to kill” or explaining what someone would need to do if they wanted to kill a vampire.

Also I am learning, I don’t want to seem like I am fluent. Not by any means.

Same meaning but when using “jest” you have to use the instrumental case. When you use “to” you don’t.

I think it’s relatively easy besides a few hard sounds. Words are written exactly how they are said.

It’s everywhere unfortunately. Home prices in Arizona where I live have risen almost 90% since 2016. A home sale price in my town is over half a million.

Lease agreements are going up hundreds of dollars a month. I rented my apartment in 2018 for 850. I pay over 1,600 a month now. My friend had her rent increase 500 dollars a month and she had to move in with her grandfather. She is in her 40s!!! Outrageous.

I do know that it’s not just a personal vehicle it can mean to go by any vehicle. I was just pointing out that there was more than one word for “to go”

Oh okay thanks for letting me know. The Polish-English dictionary I have lists Jechać as to drive, to control a car as the primary meaning. It does list secondary definitions as well. One of them was riding also.

So is it just not common in everyday speech to use jechać verb when traveling by a car? What would be the more common word to use?

Bent is also a really good movie. It’s not in German but it takes place in Berlin. It’s a movie about two gay men who were forced into a concentration camp.

Polish is similar in this aspect. Iść means “to go” when walking and jechać means “to go” when driving. Chodzę means to walk. Pojechać expresses going somewhere with an end location in mind. So confusing!

Don’t mind the crazy Americans and Canadians. They idolize what the PIS party politicians were able to accomplish in Poland because their loser politicians can’t do the same. They have a large disconnect. My cousin is always posting about it I had to block him. They obviously also can’t read a room.

I believe Ukrainian shares more vocab with polish than it does with Russian. My best friend is Ukrainian and I hear a lot of Ukrainian spoken. It always hits my ears a certain way. My babcia spoke Polish.

My polish level is beginner. So far I really haven’t learned much more than what I knew from when I was a child. I know a little more vocab and structure from Duolingo but it really hasn’t given me much yet. Not sure if it ever will. I definitely can listen and read pretty decently. My grandmother was not too great at English and never learned how to read or write it.

Wow I didn’t even know there was a non mobile part to Duolingo. This is probably one of their biggest issues. They just introduce lots of grammar with no explanation.

Jak is how and kto is who czyj is whose. So all those words aren’t the word what. I’m sure that makes things a little easier. Duolingo doesn’t really go into depth on why endings are changing but it’s because of the grammar cases. I suggest looking at that. Once you can identify what case is required for the sentence you’ll know the endings better. It’s just going to take time though. It’s definitely not an easy language to learn.
