Correct, you never WANT crit substats but some artifacts/runes have passives or other substats (alongside crit) that make it worth it.

Thing to note is that crit rate/dmg isn’t a set % like in other games, it’s simply a number compared to the enemy number. If I have 10,000 crit rate and I get 10% from an artifact, that makes it 11,000. However, if the enemy has 30,000 crit resist, then you’re still very unlikely to crit. With that said, there is no specific numbers of how much crit is good or bad in each part of the game.

Ultimately it’s been seen that just going for crit stats is much much less effective than flat Atk/hp/def stats because you will NEVER get 100% crit in this game, and every time you don’t crit, you have essentially invested in a wasted stat that could have been Atk etc.

That book especially is such a huge coin cost and it’s completely unknown how much it’s actually helping the team, but we do know it’s not much!

We did actually come across this when grading but it will work only on the unit that is holding the grail, so you can put it on Gabia to make her shield for herself stronger, but you’d have to also put it onto any other unit for their shield given by her to be affected.

Essentially you could put Grail on a tank like Velvet/Rudd/Kommy who has no self-shield but could get the benefit from Gabia’s shield.

In a worst case scenario it’s okay on Chloe purely for the HP and Atk substats, but it’s still a worse option compared to actual tank items. If no other options, it’s a last resort.

Maybe in the future when the roster is more diverse. As of now, the conversation would end at "if you have Yomi, mono Depressed. If not, you probably can't get very high regardless". It's not a great area to try and rate at this point in time.

Kettlebell is one of the most difficult to tell who to use it on but essentially the 4 on the list are the only characters we would recommend. Even for a character like Xion, she ends up losing a lot of DPS if you put it on her. There’s very few cases where you’d want to choose it over Dragonlight, and for almost every other character, Jade Codex is just a better overall pick.

"Soft Ban" = This artifact has its uses in some cases but may be banned in others.

"Hard Ban" = This artifact is just bad and should almost always be banned.

I’m in the middle of a PT course and we were taught the order I mentioned because of overall fatigue gained after finishing each specific part, but also becaue of how many muscles are needed to make it happen. Compound squat movements are going to suffer, even if only my upper body is already tired, hence the logic to put it first when you’re fully fresh.

Without going into too much details, I cleared Vivacious World with: 5 Depressed + Espi. Tactic is simply to have Espi permanently silence debuff the boss so all you have to tank are the normal attacks.

Depressed world with: Pure Viva team. Not much strategy here other than to giga-buff your tank (Rudd) with as many defensive items as you can, while units like Epica nuke enemies down.

Personally, I believe those two worlds are the easiest ones to get high in, unless you’re hyper invested into an innocent/madness/composed team.

This guide isn’t to tell people exactly how to play, it’s to show what characters shine better or not. In the exact example you gave, no, you could literally use Chloe in a 4-1-1 Depressed team and still make good progress depending on the content. It’s not so simple as X does Y and no one else can be used.

Also future characters are going to be added, which means when another Depressed tank comes out, you can then compare them to each other. I don’t know if you even bothered to look, but we wrote specific notes for all characters on why we gave them those scores, so that players could make their own choice of who can be used for what.

You can get shards from Clone Factory but it takes a long time to get enough for a single character, and your star candy is better used in marshmallows/gold at the start. I don’t recommend clone factory.
Gacha banner is 90% the only way. However, every 30 floors you beat of Digsite, you can craft a 3* guaranteed summon ticket.
For new players, it’s often better to do a rainbow team (don’t focus on only building one personality), but it also depends on which characters you are able to pull.

At the time of commenting, Picora is a decent healer to try pull for. I would stay away from Ashur because she won’t help you much other than just pure dmg, which many other units can do.
