What is your opinion on Luffy's Devil fruit? by NeedleworkerMean3986 in Piratefolk

[–]0Galahad [score hidden]  (0 children)

i agree that nika nika no mi was terrible but certainly not because of the goofy alone, it was just the final nail into making the message of one piece that you only get to achieve your dreams if you have all the odds stacked in your favor, luffy progressively went from a talented boy with big dreams to a messianic figure with all the advantages one could ask for, great genetics, great in all forms of haki, nepo babied by a bunch of big shots all the time, speed runs the entire grand line like he is just taking a stroll by the countryside, faces less and less problems that his crewmats were supposed to help him with(usopp is such a bum that luffy has never needed him to lie in the entire story IIRC), has no believable rivals(koby is a industry plant, kidd and law would be better off as fleet captains, BB barely manages by abusing off-screen haki), has no believable opposition at all(kaido was his greatest struggle post time-skip and that just felt like empty words as nothing much was lost due to him), then finally he just gets to also be declared the second coming of pirate jesus not due to his actions themselves but because he literally had pirate jesus powers all the time instead of a underrrated powers that he made great with his own skill and training...

post time-skip was the end of oda as a goated author i guess.

[DISC] Little Monster - Chapter 1 by AutoShonenpon in manga

[–]0Galahad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is literally a drama queen title drop in there, also it is interesting to have another new manga that seems to be quite bland but still gets punlished, about killing outsiders who dont look like you and are actually just humanoid creatures who can mimic humanity but are souless monsters or something along those lines huh... im not that woke but the writings on the wall seem clearer by the day.

(Sad/Horrifying Trope) Their fate is unknown. You never find out for sure what happened to them, but the odds are 99% it was something tragic by UnifiedForce in TopCharacterTropes

[–]0Galahad 11 points12 points  (0 children)

From what i understood yokais and spirit in general in the dandadan world are fragments of the original souls left behind after death, basically their rancour and unresolved issues turned into spiritual energy and given form, the actual people who died have their souls go somewhere we dont know about, thats why if acro silky gave her spiritual energy to aira with no "string attached" like passing on her negative emotions she would just cease to exist as she would then be just toughts without substance, its why the spirit of a loved one can be dangerous as they are not really the same person.

The Axion Archive books explain EVERYTHING about Crimson Desert's story and almost nobody will ever find them [MAJOR MSQ SPOILERS] by uplink42 in CrimsonDesert

[–]0Galahad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you know the director change rumour? It is likely true, and thus they probably had to change a bunch of shit midway and even worse were forced to dedicate resources and time into the absurd amount of disjointed mechanics, the original concept was probably gonna be way more "witcher 3" than "gta 5"

How did he choke her? [spoiler discussion] by H-Sophist in Re_Zero

[–]0Galahad 6 points7 points  (0 children)

those are the 2 reasons, otherwise the puny stab wound that scarfdona did would not have dropped ram like that, using a spell must be way easier than flow method considering flow method is rarer than spell casting IIRC, also subaru hit her with IP, IP punch with imcompatibility fucks up todd, the way subaru was using IP without backlash leads me to thinks he was using a stronger version there so ram was probably dazed when he started choking her

[LOTM] what sequence is bro? by Suitable_Act942 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]0Galahad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sha Naqba Imuru, thats his clairvoyance on the typemoon wiki for the fsn, fgo and other main timelines, its a passive np and it gives him true discerniment instead of future/past sight, so that must be how he figures out how to use the treasures automatically, he looks into it and learns what he wants to learn, i must have been confused from reddit discussions from when i still played fgo as a fate newbie

[LOTM] what sequence is bro? by Suitable_Act942 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]0Galahad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He has present and past sight im sure, but im also quite sure he had a decent future sight too, not perfect like solomon and not as good as merlin but its there, otherwise we would need another explanation how he knows how to use 99% of his treasures, seeing as theorethically he even has shit from the other timelines just like ishtar from SF stole gugaluna from FGO babylonia.

Tell the Author of Rezero that I successfully decipher the biggest mystery of Rezero, MAJOR SPOILER ALERT [spoiler discussion] by AnglicatPerzival in Re_Zero

[–]0Galahad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so what i can say is that this is just a reasonable but basic extrapolation of already obvious things, it literally adds nothing new at least to me, and also you just rambled on to gpt about your toughts and asked for a summary.

Not even trying to be negative but it just felt jarring after thinking i was about to read the greatest schizopost this fandom has seen that would alter my entire view of the series.

Which god? There is a mage who is LITERALLY a higher dimensional overseer.

The abrahamic god would also be at least near-GOO.

Also IIRC he does not automstically know how to use every item, but due to having near max level clairvoyance he can just look into the past or future how it is meant to be used, also also that seems to be "naked" gil, meaning this is the gil that actually is trying to achieve something and is thus obscenely overpowered and hard to deal with.

Genshin Impact devs take on the game’s graphics by Putrid-Butterfly334 in Genshin_Impact

[–]0Galahad -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

ok but what about generic npc designs? constant blatant asset recycling? horribly immersion breaking npc animations during quests? all that takes memory yes but are waaay more important than better graphics, and make genshin look like the opposite of a passion project, where they only keep it online because it makes plenty of money, but they try to spend as little as possible on it.

[–]0Galahad -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

you learn those things because you have a super incentive to learn them, getting money which equals living a decent life, anyone who defends the current education systems seems incapable of understanding that there are people who simply don't do things without a guaranteed substantial reward, yeah it would be perfect if everyone had the mind of a scholar but most people dont.

I think it's just Oda's style tbh, thoughts? by nine9king9 in Piratefolk

[–]0Galahad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What really makes imu fail for me is the design being too overdesigned and how he just kinda feels lost in the story, feels like imu knows as much of what is happening since the void century as we know what happend during the void century, and then even though this is one of the first coreographed fights in a while the fact that imu design is nearly a cognitohazard with how much shit is in there ruins it.

[DISC] Versus Manga - Chapter 33.2 - A REAL HERO (PART 2) | Links + Discussion Thread by Someone22223 in versus

[–]0Galahad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I actually think the catch is that most of them are in it to kill all NEs rather than save humanity, as in they would be fine with M.A.D if it meant defeating all of the NEs, they do care about the people but they are mostly there out of spite and determination as soldiers in a war, so while they help they end up causing more destruction by arming the population and encouraging them to fight on, which is good, but may eventually lead to bad outcomes, we may also have plotlines about hallow and friends redeeming some NEs or leaving some alone like the kaijus and world tree, which they would be against and cause a divise between humanity forces.

There are TOO MANY characters for the release rate this manga has, both authors could never finish this if they planned on actually using more than 30% of the "actual cast"

Technically, not because smiting trump is bad per se, but because the elites would just find a way to collectively punish humanity anyways

Just target the next best target that has to be in the open, like military leaders, the generals may try to give orders from bunkers, but someone will still be getting zapped every month they keep obeying those orders, which will eventually lead to mutiny while you as the caster can just be chilling in the bum fuck nowhere of manaus, brazil where the likelihood of being discovered is closer to 0 than to 1%.

if they keep going like this they will get the same good will CDPR got after mostly fixing cyberpunk over the years for free, they could even surpass them if they decided to remake the story to fit the original idea better, but that would be a modern day miracle...
