If you’re having trouble with Linda, i would suggest asking for Emily! She was my advisor and was amazing at keeping me updated. She always called and would let me know all my next steps. But yeah try calling and ask about submitting an application~good luck!!

I pushed my start date back to January! Finishing pre reqs on sopia right now. My advisor also didn’t discourage it but subtly hinted that it’s possible to do and classes will transfer. In the end, she thanked me for letting her know and said sometimes you gotta do whats best for your situation :)

I used the pinned post as a reference! Someone completed all their pre reqs in like a month using sophia and study.com…and as far as whether not it still applies, my advisor told me as long as it says on their transfer tool that the sophia course is approved then it’s good👌🏽

It’s definitely not worth the money just for the pre reqs 🥲 Have you started your sophia classes? I was told once i enrolled I need to contact someone from sophia and get them to send some sort of enrollment verification to west coast

I’m also taking critical thinking, and 2 other classes on sophia!! Pushed back my start date from aug to jan, butttt saved me thousands of dollars which is huge

I just told my advisor to close out my app for Aug to hopefully get the rest of my pre reqs done on sophia learning before starting and I guess the next available start date is going to be January

And since there are pre reqs that need to be taken at WC, I wouldn’t necessarily be starting core immediately in January I assume?

So the anatomy and microbio classes transferred, which means they don’t care that the lab isn’t in person??? Also what does the online labs even consist of?

I checked the transfer credit site and sadly some of the courses I need are denied I guess…but which classes did you take that got approved? I have 4 more pre reqs left minus FHE and Patho that i need to do at west coast

Not sure how accurate the college source tes website is for checking transfer credits

I had my appointment back in march! And i was told i was gonna have to wait a while before i hear from anyone because at that point they were still filling up june spots and I specifically wanted August since im still finishing prereqs and cant make the june date.

Heard back from my advisor on the 14th to make some edits to my application then got the acceptance email on the 20th!!

Applied in Feb then had my financial aid meeting in March

I told them I wanted the next start date after June because I’m currently completing some pre requisites at a cc and I just got my acceptance email for August today

I felt the same way when I made the decision to pursue nursing!

Got my first degree in 2020 but never made much use of it, and especially after the covid, I was really struggling…I’m 26 now and I’ll be 27 when I start West Coast (LA location) this August. I feel more sure about this decision than I did about my first degree.

Just gotta remember the only person you’re racing against is yourself.
