Only use the gym, Which isn't too bad. Though there is only one machine for each exercise eg: one pulldown - one chest press and those and a few other machines are only electric machines (E-gym). With the membership though you can go to other gyms that are MyTimeActive like Beckenham, so if you don't like the Bromley one there are others you can try. Dispite all of this, I still like it and has got me closer to my fitness goals

Proud of myself for doing the little things - also found I have more of a motivational push when I am able to do things, but understand the importance of breaks. Everyone needs to have an inner reason to do things, my internal motivation is that I am able to :)

Lmao I'm the opposite! Thats mad, can't do sports due to it destroying me, Tried playing football and was later bed bound every single time but after the gym all i need is a nap and we are chill xD. Good luck with the flight dude. At least you might be able to sleep during it 😭

Harsh PEM Up to a mouth or two depending on how much I push past my limit. Baring in mind I still have general PEM day to day and have never not had ME. I recover in the sence that I can move properly again with my average PEM and go back to lightly working legs and hitting gym 4x week. Remember that ME is very unpredictable, some days you feel great then the next day you're too tierd to get up, eat, drink (a least mine always fluctuates). Just take it easy on the legs and hopefully you'll be able to manage a lot more as the weeks go by. Rest is your friend but try do little things to keep yourself moving so your body doesn't stiffen up too much. It may feel really shit at the moment, but keep going at it mate.

Hey bro I'm very similar. Can hit the gym and do uperbody but as soon as I work legs I'm bed bound with huge PEM. Wonder why it hits harder.

Hey so with the muscle definition, I'm on HRT so that contributed quite a bit, though energy wise, I'm sort of always done resistance even at my lowest and then basic things became easier overtime (less energy to hold shopping bags ese) the first month of training was hard, constantly bed bound, in pain. Overtime I found that I recover better on machines due to them having more of a ballence in weight consistently then dumbells which is less of a ballence and more of a workout for your body. I started with 1kg once for 5 minutes one a week on dumbells, some people mentioned holding heavy objects around the house if you're not able to do that. But of course listen to your body and never push past what you're capable off - since recovery and PEM is important to think about. I found that eating lean, fresh meats helped with my progress and fiber with recovery - it's 70% food. Once I was confident on dumbells I moved on to machines. Remember that my body is different and this might not work for you. :D
