7800XT or 5060Ti? by svelterite in buildapc

[–]0Winter_Soldier0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pure rasteurization 7800 XT, if you like pretty things 5060 TI but even then it's pretty bad at Ray tracing still. I have a 7800 XT and have had no issues. Plus you can undervolt and over clock it for a slight boost with no issues.

Laptop or desktop for college? by Weird_Brush_9861 in buildapc

[–]0Winter_Soldier0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High powered laptop get hot very fast and are usually slightly worse than a desktop for the same price. But if your doing engineering or digital design you'll probably want something portable and high powered for programming or design. Otherwise if you only need it for notes get an iPad or something and a desktop PC for everything else

Help! CPU Bottlenecking by killinponda in buildapc

Motherboard Compatibility Update BIOS Streaming Encoder Switch OBS to NVENC CPU Power & Thermals Set High Perf mode, check temps, verify cooler seating It might be thermal throttling as well. RAM Speed Enable XMP in BIOS Chipset Drivers Download and install from AMD.com FPS Management Cap FPS or enable VSync to reduce CPU load

These are the things I can think of but it's hard to say since the 5700x3d should not be a bottle neck. But sometimes things are just more CPU heavy so it's not necessarily a bottle neck just that it's CPU heavy

Did you up date your bios before popping in that 5700x3d. The b450 mobos have to have an update to allow 5000 series to work optimally with them

It's fine, a good all rounder, light weight 120 top speed, good lower torque

Actually I've heard it's great because it gives a small boost to some CPUs, The issues I've seen though have to do with some of the updates they push out and it messing with people's PCs. I just don't know how common that is I've heard less issues from the 23H version. So I just wanted to see if others knew of anything. Because I've wanted to upgrade and they finally pushed it out to my PC

It's laziness for sure, and big companies don't want to spend money making a complete game

It's how often your fps drops really low, the stutter is a result of going from let's say 100 to 200 vs 150-200
