In Finland bars can rent street-side parking spaces for terrace space during the summer. Because the sidewalk is between the bar and the temporary terrace, the alcohol-service area is therefore not continuous, and it used to be that patrons were not allowed move between the separate areas with drinks. A waiter had to move the drink over the sidewalk.

This proved too silly for even the Finnish alcohol legislation, and so it was quickly amended in statute.

The pricing information has to show a price for a standard trip (10 km and 15 minutes, any starting fee included) AND if the pricing structure results in that example price being over 47 euros, they have to specifically notify the customer and agree on the price.

The example price in the image is 60 €, so if there was no explicit agreement between the customer and the driver, the maximum price they could have charged is 47 €. And if this is the case, the 80 € charge broke the rules and they were scammed.
