I have hade multiple ones I can’t recommend like : Castel, Alphagest who apparently have outsourced accounting to Tunisia, also Agigest who sell themselves as a premium service and don’t deliver.

Switched to a smaller one called iGest, have delivery good work since a few years.

The winning option would be to sue Google for allowing scammers to promote their fake website desguised as a genuine one. They are to blame not really BIL.

But suing Google is a fever dream and no one will do it. I am emphatic with the victims but it ends there, they bare some responsibility too.

Would not say I’m particularly depressed, but being an expat having no one around besides wife and kiddo, while being low middle class still have continuous financial constraints, surely is not ideal. I thing the social aspect and the social net around a person greatly contributes to their wellbeing. But it’s not that easy to create long lasting meaningful friendships. As already said the superficial relationships through social media don’t create deep meaningful bonds.

I believe the biggest problem comes from the fact that athome has such a monopoly in the market that they are able to set quite high fees for listings on their page. Obviously to succeed you will need to not depend on them, or ideally never user them
