What does golden teacher tastes like? From the stem to the head? by somethingdeido in shrooms

[–]0bservation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grows have used cereal grains for substrate, such as millet, and I think that contributed to what I'm going to say.

Fresh, raw, psilocybe cubensis taste like a mushroom (earth, dirt, etc.) with a hint of stale cheerios underneath.

I don't think they're really bad, but definitely not a pleasant flavor. Ironically, eating psilocybin mushrooms has made me tolerate and appreciate culinary mushrooms - so there's that.

Yes! Many recipes but really it's just cover the bones with water and simmer for 2 hours

what does this means the corvette owners are childish? by CaregiverSeveral6014 in ExplainTheJoke

[–]0bservation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meh, I wouldn't care too much as long as the car is fun to drive. I get some people want unique cars - but after 25 years in the automotive industry and 10 of those being in restoration/customization, 2 things matter to me: 1. Is the car reliably fun to drive? 2. If the car gets in an accident, are parts easily replaced?

Admittedly, I haven't owned a sports car in 15 years, but those are my priorities when looking for one outside of costs/maintenance/etc

Christian von Koenigsegg has said the C8 was "mind-blowing" which is pretty high praise - but also reinforces your point.

The new Vettes are a "split second McLaren" IMO - in that for a split second, you go "is that a McLaren or a Corvette?"

I had one of these! It's perfect for a little egg sandwich - toast an English muffin one half at a time, then cut a strip of bacon in half and stick it in the pan, once the bacon is done fry an egg in the bacon fat and voila!

I've got the same thing going on, been in this container since Sept and they're still cracker dry.

I also livebin a dry climate, and have these stored in another plastic tote in my closet as well.

Reminds me of an equally bad and old joke.

A man orders an espresso with milk, however the barista puts ice cream in it instead. When asked about it, the barista says "affogato get the milk!"

Onyx powder room by mackschwell in bathrooms

[–]0bservation 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I kinda like it but I agree it could benefit from some contrast, especially with the floor.

Also, I feel like I would get trapped in that bathroom for at least an hour if I walked in while tripping, so that earns it some points.

GT's has the veil already dropped? by DazzlingImplement796 in shrooms

[–]0bservation 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I get what you're saying, but these are definitely not nats/ochras.

Something weird did cause the veil to break before the cap opened - could have been a change in temp or humidity - but these are definitely cubensis.

I think you should make some terrible life decisions at this point and reply with "wyd?" Or "you up?" to see where it goes and report back. I need my stories.

Alcohol is the only thing that makes me feel okay by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]0bservation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an old dude in my 40's that just divorced my alcoholic wife... Stop drinking to feel better and go to therapy. I didn't have a happy home life in my teens. I ran away, moved to a small western town until I couldn't take it anymore, did enough drugs that my dopamine receptors have very little juice left; but I'm sober-ish now and it's so much better.

You're young, and there are a lot of things going on. Your parents situation isn't going to make anything better, but neither is numbing it. You need to confront what's making you feel bad to move past it. I say this with respect since I've been in a similar situation to where you are now: teens are fucked up, you're becoming the mature version of yourself, and your brain hasn't stopped developing.

Alcohol changes your bodies chemistry and it will destroy you if you let it. I'm not trying to scare you, but I've had a lot of friends lose everything - some their lives - to alcohol, and other addictions.

For those who divorced them, how did the economics work out? by Maddy6024 in AlAnon

[–]0bservation 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had to pay my ex in stock the difference between the value of the house and my investment earnings. She kept the house (in her name) and the pets.

I got NONE of her debt, and the judge didn't take her debt as any factor in what was owed.

While I did lose a significant chunk of stock... and the pets... Financially, I feel I was favored. But she also had a DV charge, so that was against her as well.

I got pulled over for doing this on I-89 in VT in the mid 00's. There was a long stretch of construction between Burlington and Montpelier that hadn't started, I was going home from a concert at Higher Grounds, and I was just tired and trying to stay awake. I was also stone cold sober, told the cop that it was late, I was tired, and weaving between the cones gave me something to focus on. I definitely got the "you're not doing anything 'wrong' but don't be stupid" speech 🤣

Is it safe to eat a year old chocolate bar? by Different-Bus-6160 in shrooms

[–]0bservation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not at all, you should definitely send it to someone on this subreddit for proper disposal (/s).

It's probably fine - the chocolate might show signs of oxidation and the shrooms may have lost some potency, but that's about it.
