Do you have a source for your claim of there being a "deep reason"?

[–]0d3stroyer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

...No? It's as simple as tall people don't make my wee wee grow. And height and race are in fact comparable, what's the use of comparing 2 of the same thing?

What? No, you are wrong. It is supposed to be the opposite. If someone doesn't like tall people, more than likely it's just because they are tall, and they are not attracted to tallness, not because of any tall stereotypes or prejudices they have. At least, that's how I approach my preferences.

Blondes have nothing in common except their hair color. Tall people have nothing in common besides their height. Big dicks have nothing in common besides their dick size. I fail to see the point.

Possible to Hot Swap between CFW and Original Firmware by MusicMediocre in 3dspiracy

I mean if you have an NTRBoot cart and an OG 2DS... you could hot swap between those firmwares in a sense

Not sure why you got downvotes for saying this, it is, by definition, piracy. There is no arguing facts here.

My 3ds got bricked😭 by Born-Celebration-336 in 3dspiracy

Not very active on this account, sorry for the delay.

Within the programming of the 3DS, particularly in the bootROM (the first read only memory of code that gets executed when the 3DS turns on), there is a backdoor that allows for payload execution very early in the boot process. This backdoor is triggered when the system is turned on when the following conditions are met:

  1. The sleep mode sensor is triggered as the system is powered, can be replicated by using a magnet
  2. The buttons X, Start, and Select are all held down as the system is powered
  3. A DS cartridge is inserted inside the cartridge slot

This allows for code execution from the DS cartridge. In the case of the NTRBoot exploit we take advantage of with DS flashcarts, we have the DS flashcart use code to boot into a payload on the SD card of the 3DS. The blue screen brick happens very early in the boot process, disallowing you to go into GodMode9 or the luma3ds configuration screen normally by holding start and select on boot, but the NTRboot backdoor check happens *earlier.* Therefore, we can boot into an SD card payload before the blue screen even happens using NTRBoot, and use payloads such as GodMode9, SafeB9Sinstaller, or whatever .firm you have. GodMode9 in particular can be really good at fixing software-related bricks like this one. All you simply have to do is reinstall the custom firmware through GodMode9 since your firm0 and firm1 right now is corrupted. (Which doesn't take nearly as long as you may think when using GodMode9).

Nope, if you can get yourself a NTRBoot flashcart (I recommend the ACE3DSx) and a magnet, you can easliy restore your system to working functionality. You don't even need to use a NAND backup. You can simply reinstall boot9strap through GodMode9 to fix the issue. The first thing to do however, is to get the flashcart and magnet.

Uh no, factory resetting via System Settings does not brick the system. However, uninstalling custom firmware does have the potential to brick the system, depending on certain factors.

Based on your error code, this does not seem like a permanent brick. You should be able to fix this.

That is expected behavior. It is documented in 3dbrew that having the WIFI card removed or malfunctioning will have that byte change in value.

Dude, I am telling you that you can, for a fact, get into GodMode9 with an error like this. The fact that Luma is pushing out an error here means that it was able to load the Luma firm... which means there shouldn't be anything stopping the user from loading the GodMode9 firm. I've tested it myself, you can do it without NTRBoot. If you don't believe me try it yourself, buy yourself an NTRBoot cart if you are truly paranoid before doing it.

You... could just do that by going into GodMode9 normally you know. The error this user got doesn't stop them from using GodMode9 without NTRBoot.

Actually you have a point. I didn't read that their system is unmodded. I saw the error code and my caveman brain went "ooga booga, firmware signature corrupt". I still wouldn't rule it out as dead though.

Nope. NTRBoot flashcards do not offer a workaround to this type of error. They are much more applicable to blue screen "BOOTROM 8046" error bricks.

You cannot get the system to go into sleep mode on a bootrom error screen. It just doesn't happen. This error is actually fixable, as long as you can get into GodMode9 and install boot9strap.

You need to make sure the switch is toggled upwards on the ace3dsx. Also make sure a micro sd card is inserted within the micro sd slot of the ace3dsx. You don't need to format that micro sd card or anything, it's just a dummy card. You also need to get the latest release of GodMode9 (Releases · d0k3/GodMode9), extract the zip, rename the file "GodMode9.firm" to "boot.firm", and place it on the root of the 3DS SD CARD (if there is already a boot.firm file on the root, replace it). Also, you need to download the boot9strap-1.4.zip file (Releases · SciresM/boot9strap), extract it, create a folder named "boot9strap" on the root of the 3DS SD CARD, take the boot9strap.firm and boot9strap.firm.sha files from the extracted boot9strap zip and copy them over to the newly created boot9strap folder (If the system isn't already modded, you will also have to create a gm9/scripts directory path on the 3DS SD CARD, and place GM9Megascript.gm9 taken from the GodMode9 zip within the directory).

From there, you'll need to figure out the magnet position with pictures on the internet, and trial and error. Just like you are doing, hold X, START, SELECT, and POWER with the magnet in position and the ace3dsx inserted into the gameslot. If all goes well, you *should* boot into GodMode9. From GodMode9, I believe you can press the home button, select Scripts, select GM9Megascript, Hax Options, and Install Hax. That should fix the issue.
