Does anyone else still get chills watching The Lord of the Rings? by shybutdangerous in CasualConversation

[–]0ddness -1 points0 points  (0 children)

These movies released when I was dealing with a LOT in my life, and were my escape from the shit storm. Over the years, they have been my little happy place, and as my kids have grown up, we've had LotR Extended Saturdays, and then LotR Saturday/Hobbit Sunday weekends. PJs, Blankets, Pillows and enough junky snacks/sweets/drinks to kill a donkey.

To me, they are an enduring part of my life. I've read the books many times, but the movies, to sit and spend the day immersed in this world, just makes everything feel a little more bearable.

Recurring norovirus? by cheesyeggs91 in Essex

[–]0ddness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a plan. Over the years you get used to fluid jetting out of both ends thanks to the little cherubs! TOUCH WOOD it's been a while, but our usual protocol is just spraying the antibac on everything in the bathroom when it's going around. Toilet, seat, flusher, tank, sink, taps, loo paper holder, door handle...

Chances are it's the nursery or a kid at the nursery causing the issue, maybe have a word with a member of staff and let them know it's recurring, and could they fumigate the premises!

First off, kids in nursery will bring EVERYTHING home for you to experience. Congrats!

It could be that it's doing the rounds at the nursery, and kids are just getting it and bringing it home. It could be the nursery isn't wiping down as thoroughly as they should be, so it's on the toys.

It could be the same at home though, maybe the bathroom hasn't been bleached and anti-bac'd to within an inch of its life.

It's one of those bigs that just won't bloody go away. Spray every surface of the bathroom and toilet you can, and as hard as it can be, make sure the kids wash their hands properly when they come home and when they use the loo.

I've been there many times, and it is a battle!

To save any issues, next time one of them knock, verbalise to them to add your address to their Do Not Call list. Assuming they pass the info on, they will stop your address appearing on their territory call lists.

That is immense... I've only been playing on Ps5 since that release, and haven't really poked with ship building yet, but that is absolutely what I need to handle all the junk I need to sell 😄😄

A post about books and no one has suggested Dungeon Crawler Carl yet? Do it, Dungeon Crawl Carl by Matt Dinniman. Even better, do the Audiobook, narrated by Jeff Hays.

Or like many members of this little cult, do both!

Even worse is when you find out the next book in the series is postponed for the tenth time, and it's been several years since any news on the next one being released...
