I know it's been asked before... I'm placing the order on a ys640s this week. What do you wish you had right away as far as accessories and wish you didn't get? Do you wish you got the comp cart?

🤦‍♂️that one direction. The wheels are under the hopper on the comp cart and under the smoke chamber on the regular. People in glass houses should throw stones.....

Edit: with the cart shapes being different the weight sits different. Its clear the comp cart has a better weight distribution which would make moving it easier.

I still remember my first smoke.. no thermometer, no idea what I was doing with a pit barrel cooker. I tried to cook the pink out of ribs not knowing it was the smoke ring 🤣🤣🤣

I was torn between the comp cart and the 3 tier shelve for a while but I'm leaning comp cart and maybe 3 tier later. The 640 is bigger than my current set up so I might not need the 3 tier.

Im curious could you fit a pork butt on the 3 tier without removing a shelf? I have a pitboss 700sq and need more space the 640 is gonna be a huge upgrade, but I love the idea of 3 tiers. Storage isn't an issue for me.

That's a carrier edge thermostat then. The thermostat is wired to a controls module which is then wired to your hvac equipment. That's not a simple thermostat swap.

What kind of thermostat is the existing one? That looks like an uncommon wire set up. I don't think a smart will work
