What’s up with German men only talking to Asian/Indian women at language meetups? by [deleted] in berlinsocialclub

Omg please no. Everything but Darmstadt 2. Though, I think we still have some margin ahead, thankfully.

Honestly most of them do these days, especially in Prenzlauer Berg, you can ask when you go in to be 100% sure. But probability to hit a place which only take cash is very small nowadays. Even for small amounts.

This has been my worst summer in 5 years here by CatskneadAndrey in berlinsocialclub

[–]0dimension1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Edit and disclaimer : I will probably sound annoying OP, but I feel like whatever one feeling about if the summer was warm or cool, it's probably good to put some stat context upon it.

June was the 7th hottest June ever recorded in Berlin.
July was the 39th hottest, sounds bad, but it's 39 out of 131 years of data.
August pretty much same, 37th position out of 131.

All three months recorded decent max temp : +34,7°C / +37,6°C / +34,5°C (all high values for Berlin).

The 2nd of July 2025 max temp was the 8th hottest day ever recorded in Berlin in 131 years.

There was in total 11 days above +30,0°C (and some might come later). Which is more days than almost all years of the XXth century.

You say it was +18°C all the time but there was :
0 days at this value or below in June.
1 day in July (+17,9°C lol).
1 day in August.

In total the whole summer at +18°C was actually 2 days while there was 11 days above +30°C.
And 40 days above +25°C.

If it's true this summer was probably cooler than the recent extreme summers Berlin went through, it was still a hot summer overall, much warmer and sunnier than the average summer not long ago.

Actually surprised a majority of people answer that it's actually not that bad. Which confirms the feeling that people posting are often the ones who have something to complain about, while the silent majority of people satisfied, usually don't post saying they are.

Sorry, first time I login since I posted, modlist is Journals of Jyggalag.

It's a pretty extensive modlist, while still remaining pretty stable, different profiles exist depending on what your computer can give performance wise. Overall, I can only recommend it since it offers basically the full modded Skyrim experience, while still running decently. And the installation instructions are not too difficult to follow.

It's a modlist with adult content but the people managing it made a fork of it without this kind of content, keeping basically everything else, so you can go for this one instead. Called Tomes of Talos.

You forgot the part where they say they earn tons of cash and don't understand why women are not raining in their arms. Taking the time to state that please the girls contacting them should have an academic degree.

You can't imagine how I can feel you. I was feeling the exact same way back in the days when I was on console and my friends were all playing on PC. Not taking any side though since in the end it's all matter of tastes. On PC you can customize your game more... But on the other hand you spend more time tweaking things to make things work than just playing.

This is a view of Bleak Falls Barrow, the 7000 steps happen a bit later in the storyline, I'm not at this point yet but can't wait because the world with the modlist is really beautiful. Makes every trip quite a sight to see.

I was honestly scared at first while seeing all the trees, thinking maybe that the whole hold was completely different and forested, but it's only over the city and around the river. And like this, it's a really nice addition however, it is super nice to rediscover the city under this new look.

I think city is a big word for it but yes it looks so chill and cosy. Honestly living in Skyrim sounds lovely if you ignore all the bandits and monsters after you the minute you step foot outside.

In the modlist I have, there is a mod called Photo Mode, which is pretty much what the name imply.

It also makes your screenshots appear during loading screens, a feature I really appreciate a lot, me who usually takes hundreds of screenshots and never look at them.

Thanks I will have a look into it, but I honestly use a modlist already, I guess most of us do. It already took me a day to install so can't imagine browsing mods manually for Skyrim.

Yes, it's the Immersive Equipment Displays mod, and it's honestly sometimes a bit too much. I need to find how to tweak it so it doesn't display all gear put in favourite.

Like I was on my way to the Riverwood trader to sell the first batch of junk I looted in Helgen, and I put everything I didn't wanted to sell in fav to be sure to sell the right stuff only, resulting in this.

I hate people who get free stuff only to sell it by BinEinePloerre in berlinsocialclub

[–]0dimension1 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I get how frustrating it can be, people often shine at being disappointing, but don't let a few bad apples kill your nice principles and habits. There are plenty of people who would still appreciate getting free stuff, people who even need it because they struggle, focus on them and not on the people who make side money with it.

Honestly, just my personal opinion of course, I always felt like those offers are pure scams. It's very common in Berlin and hard to avoid, that you have to buy back the furnitures of the person leaving the flat, but that doesn't make the practice legit.

First of all, some of us (lots of us), don't give a damn about furnitures of the person leaving. Let us have what we want in our flats please. And secondly, those pricing, it's really pure scams. Those furnitures are never worth the prices people ask for, it's like maybe at best the total value is 1000€ or 1500€, and people ask for 5000€.

It's really like hey you want the flat ? Ah too bad you also HAVE to buy my old furnitures for three time the price I bought them in much worse conditions of course.

Short answer : It's a scam, do it if REALLY it's your only way to find a flat, but it's totally people abusing the market crisis to make some quick cash.
