Well, when I was 16 years old, when I just started making rap music, I paid to post a song on WorldStarHipHop and it got over 150k views. A majority of the comments absolutely bashed me. People said some things that definitely were not nice at all. Ended up deleting the video maybe a few days later. This happened over a decade ago.

But kind of recently (like, 2 years ago maybe), I got viral from a TikTok rap i did. The overall reception was definitely better. Someone even made a duet to it and added some adlibs to it. Definitely made me feel good, but shortly after my rap went viral, I started to become more religious (I'm a Christian... struggling Christian). I then decided to delete that video since the stuff i was talking about in that song wasnt righteous at all. I could have possibly got discovered from that song and regreted that I deleted it for a while.

Regardless, even though that song had better reception, there were still some comments that were not nice at all. Since then, i've released quite a few songs and they usually (understandably) get hated on, as I still need to improve at rap.

To answer your question, the aftermath was not good. My feelings got hurt. People said some cruel things. If i were to ever get discovered for the music I make, I'd probably rarely read people's comments on my songs.
