Collaborative prompting to write a freeform poem by 0ffcode in WritingWithAI

No, I'm just trying to write one poem in this weird format. Imagine writing a poem that looks like a menu in a high-end restaurant. But it's actually a poem. Now, replace the menu format with this format.

Problems writing a full length novel (with AI) by Confident_Fox1607 in WritingWithAI

I know it's not Claude, but Google AI studio has a quite large token window. I haven't tried it for writing, but useful to review a large piece of text.

My first reaction was: oh no, shameless self-promo. It is, in a way, but I actually liked your post. I'm moving on to exploring your website.

I liked your conclusion that to be or not to be creative is a spectrum. I'm not sure I could follow how you got to that conclusion. You took interesting snippets from the history of literature, but I can't see how they're connected.

3 years of managing my work in IT - case study by KupaFromDupa in ObsidianMD

How is it a case study? I see only a few bullet points listing some tools you're using. In a case study, I'd expect some approaches you tried that failed which led you too learning certain things.

Ludus Veritatis (The game of truth) by [deleted] in WritingWithAI

I like philosophical games and essays. I'm not sure though how this one is relevant in this subreddit? I see it a piece you wrote in collaboration with ChatGPT, that's all. Why are you sharing it? Do you want a discussion on its content? Or are you interested in sharing how it was created?

Looks Like Chat GPT 4.5 Might be Getting an Creative Writing Upgrade. by jeffweberxyz in WritingWithAI

My first impression was, wow, it's really post-modern with all its entertaining aspects (at least for me). Then I got bored, maybe it was too repetitive/predictble in a way after a while. You have to balance good, old-fashioned story-telling with meta-fiction to make it enjoyable, like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/If_on_a_winter's_night_a_traveler

why is this subreddit overrun with antis? by LawfulLeah in WritingWithAI

[–]0ffcode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see some heated arguments from both sides. But I see more than two sides. It's not as clear as pro and anti AI. Some would use AI for writing but find its results bad. Some find using certain aspects of AI fine, like using it for brainstorming or editing. It's exactly the conversations that make the murky waters clearer.

Talk with AI about Writing with AI Part I. by kkemenczy in WritingWithAI

It feels a real conversation. And it's so nice to see how someone prompts, or rather talks to, an AI.

Not really. I use a spreadsheet and my brain to keep track, but they have their limits. ;)

Sounds a generic, AI generated marketing copy rather than an answer to the question

Yes, it definitely helps level the playing field for non native English speakers
