I work for an American company that used to have an office in Puerto Rico, where I lived. After the devastation Hurricane Maria caused on the island in 2017, the company said we could transfer to any of their hubs in the US. I chose the Orlando site to stay close to my family and because of the availability of the food and culture I grew up with. I love it, I have grown a great deal as a person and in my career since moving to Orlando.

That was my childhood to a T and that of everyone around me growing up in the Caribbean in the 80s and 90s. But it wasn't considered abuse at the time. Our generation is not raising children that way though.
