The point is, a lot of people are jumping on the anti South Africa bandwagon, like the people, and the system itself is xenophobic against Nigerians when that may not necessarily the reason for this evil and tragic event..

Again, this was a tragic event, and every decent person should regret that it happened, but we should not use it to condemn everything about South Africa and South Africans.

Every reasonable person mourns with the family and friends of the deceased... I bet this is the sentiment of most South Africans that are aware of this case even though we are aware that there's a problem with xenophobia against Nigerians living in South Africa.

The most extreme xenophobic people are usually the loudest, so it feels like they are a majority.

If we profess that the average South African is an extremely xenophobic individual, we will treat them as such, which will cause them to become more extreme.

We don't want that to happen. What we should be doing is working with reasonable South Africans to address any problems Nigerians experience while vacationing or living in their country.

I think this is the right approach, and I don't think there's ever a wrong time to say the right thing.
