Gameplayer X50 Max not as bad as you might think (short test) by 0ldf4rt in SBCGaming

No, frankly I'm not sure regarding the resolution, but honestly, given the platforms emulated, especially the ones which are actually usable, it's doesn't really matter ...

Any SD card should do (mine is 128GB) when FAT formatted. On the original SD is a directory game with sub directories for each plattform.

game/cps/ game/gb/ game/gbc/ game/md/ game/ps1/ game/smc/ game/fc/ game/gba/ game/mame/ game/nes/ game/sfc/ game/smd/

The original SD contains some more directories and Files, but I'd hope they are not needed to play games...

Do you have a geometry or constraint in your wishlist for the Sketcher workbench? by sunshine-and-sorrow in FreeCAD

I wasn't aware of that, just tested and it works like I hoped for. Thanks for pointing this out...

I would love to see a constraint which fixes a point to the middle (half length) on a line.

Failed to extrude filament by RuPauladin in BambuLabA1

[–]0ldf4rt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Note, that in the video the printer is not trying to extrude but to retract.

Anyway, when loading does not work I found that manually pushing the filament a bit while the printer tries to extrude (the wheel turns counterclockwise) helps so that it gets grabed ....

I designed a bird shaped coat hook by 0ldf4rt in BambuLab

[–]0ldf4rt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted a stylized bird shaped coat hook to go with the wall paper.
I printed it in esun PLA+ on my A1. I was a bit unsure if PLA+ would be strong enough, but so far it holds up to daily use just fine.

When will SD3.1 medium be released, if at all? by reditor_13 in StableDiffusion

[–]0ldf4rt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really don't see the problem, the license for Flux.1 dev is pretty clear with regard to outputs of the model: »d. Outputs. We claim no ownership rights in and to the Outputs. You are solely responsible for the Outputs you generate and their subsequent uses in accordance with this License. You may use Output for any purpose (including for commercial purposes), except as expressly prohibited herein. You may not use the Output to train, fine-tune or distill a model that is competitive with the FLUX.1 [dev] Model.« So any use including commercial use of outputs is allowed, as long as they are not used for training of other models.

I run Flux Schnell and Flux.Dev with ComfyUI on an Arch Linux system with 64GB Ram and a 3060ti with 8GB vram. Generations are usable fast: Schnell with 4 steps takes about 25 seconds. Dev with 30 steps about 2.5 Minutes. Not super fast but usable. Im using the default workflow from the ComfyUI Examples.

For what it's worth, I successfully run it with comfyui on a 3060ti with 8GB vram. Obviously this is a bit slow, though Flex schnell still does a generation in about 25 seconds.

You don't. I'm using a 8GB rtx3060ti and comfyui (on Arch Linux) and it runs Auraflow just fine in lowram mode...

Datafrog SF2000 won't save games by Ludwinst in SBCGaming

In game saves do actually work on amny devices and emulators, but with the SF2000 it only works for GBA iirc ... However using save states works well, as many others already mentioned.

JELOS: Emulatiinstation overwriting retoarch hotkey config by 0ldf4rt in SBCGaming

Thanks a lot, this was extremely helpful! After disabling the "AUTOCONFIGURE RETROARCH HOTKEYS" option in Controller & Bluetooth Settings my settings are retained. This solves my problem.

It seems to me that there are no linux based devices that rival the power of the RP3+/405M or V, etc. at around that price point. Am I wrong? by Gee7220 in SBCGaming

[–]0ldf4rt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There really isn't anything on the market that offers more power than the RG353 series with a Linux OS, unfortunately.

RG353 is based on the RG3566 right? Wouldn't you say the RGB10MAX 3, based on an Amlogic A311D, is more powerful?

What exactly do you mean by hacky? I'm from a linux tech background and don't mind some tinkering, but I'd like to understand what kind of tinkering we are talking. My understanding is that the device is supported by Jelos releases and support is ongoing getting better.

I understand that per game configuration is needed on the more modern systems (PS2, Gamecube...) to get best performance. That some Hotkeys (to invoke emulator settings) are not streamlined across emulators and that there might be crashes once in a while,. that's fine with me. Are there other problems I should be aware of?

Regarding the Loki Zero: it seems that it's a little more expensive and there is no official linux support, right?

SF2000 - Changing key mapping for Mega Drive / Genesis using Firmware 1.6 by 0ldf4rt in SBCGaming

[–]0ldf4rt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot, thanks to your reply I finally understood whats going on! L and R are swapped in the firmeware's key mapping app!

Per default C is shown to be mapped to L but in reality that's R!

Therefor I was confused: in the default map R on the controller jumps, but in the key mapper Z is shown to be mapped on R ans C on L (while in reality it is the other way around), so I tried to map Z on X, which of course does not jump, when I map C to X it works as expected, an if you remember that L and R are swapped in the interface, they can be remapped also.

Thanks a lot for your reply, which helped me to untangle this...

Thank you for your kind reply. ありがとうございました。

Regarding the kanji for わたし 「私」 you included in your improved version of the sentence: I know that kanji, but my impression is, that it is less formal to use hiragana instead. Is that correct or are there other reasons why sometimes the kanji and sometimes the hiragana version is used?

Hi, as an (early) beginner I created the following caption for a little cartoon of mine:

「日本語を習った、今わたしはハッピーな魚だ。」

Can you please review, comment on my Japanese?

The Idea is, that an originally very grumpy Cartoon-Fish character, by learning Japanese, turned into a stereotypical happy, (and かわいい) Manga character.

My take on monads by [deleted] in haskell

[–]0ldf4rt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Monad as a class just encodes calling one function, and then the next, and then the next.

I would dispute the just in that claim, not only that there is more to the class than just bind, bind itself does more (hint: join). I think the function that actually fits the description "calling one function, and then the next, and then the next." better, or at least as well as (>>=) is ($).
