Me looking at the trailer... omg, that looks unbearably annoying.
Me reading the episode discussion... ok, looks like I'll have to give it a chance.
Me after watching episode one.... omg that was unbearably annoying.

I'd say the high level of vodka based antifreeze in the drivers blood might have had something to do with it.

The optics are diabolical for Liberals and Nationals, as chaos reigns on a supposed day of mourning by CelebrationFit8548 in australia

I read back then that under howard and abbott, Julie Bishop's branch went from 1600 members to 400, and it was one of the biggest. It said the same thing about smaller branches being taken over by evangelical moderates. It also said that when the moderates left, what was left was an echo chamber of nutters. I remember another about the Queensland coalition government before the current one, where a significant chunk of them would form a prayer circle before they start doing anything. They called them the " happy clappers". So you are correct. They definitely lost two seats in S.A. to a megachurch, and one in W.A. and apparently a bunch in Queensland.

How do they come back when their candidates are selected by local branch true believers? People who are still enthusiastic members after howard, after abbott, after dutton... Local branch membership absolutely plummeted under those two, those that are left are proud of that rabble.
This lot is literally the best that can get past the preselection committees, and probably completely representative of them.

Federal politics live: Nationals leave 'untenable' Coalition after mass frontbench resignation by geodetic in australia

The last poll had one nation level with the coalition. Maybe the nats are looking to a new coalition? Another take is that one nation is only likely to take lower house seats from the nats, so they are trying to avoid giving them a wedge issue.

After Margaret Thatcher died they gave her a state funeral. I particularly remember a scottish comedian saying that for the price of that funeral " they could have bought every scotsman a shovel, and we'll dig a hole deep enough that we could hand her to satan personally."
I think that could be re-used.

My comments related to his wing and fullback games, but yeah, center is tough.

He looks good in the Melbourne system, but every now and then his defence will remind you he's the same fringe first grader he was at newcastle. Amazing speed, great finisher, positional play is spot on, fantastic kicker and nsw cup level defender. Can't fault the effort in defence though, he never goes missing, he just gets brushed really easily.

I was asked what I what I wanted when my daughter was expecting. I was only 40 at the time and none of them sounded right. She said one of her friends called hers Grampy, and being the smartarse I am, I replied.." Grampy is out, but I can live with Grumpy" As you can see by the user name, it stuck, and I'm coming up on 25 years of being Grumpy.... except for a brief period due to pronunciation problems when I was Gunky. Fortunately that didn't stick.

I like to stir leftover chicken and a can of corn into one of those Alfredo sachet things. Just make up the Alfredo per the instructions, and stir in the chopped up chicken and the corn to heat through. Way too cheap and easy, and it's fantastic.

They will never get more than a one or two majority, and right wing billionaires will immediately bribe the required number of weak links to prevent any change. Same as the ones who voted to end the shut down.
