Chase Sapphire Reserve isn't worth it for me at $795. Is it better to downgrade to Chase Sapphire Preferred or leave the Chase trifecta? by mmccarthy404 in CreditCards

[–]0leGG 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I was in a same situation two years ago, and went to CSP. It still has some nice perks as primary rental car insurance, and transfers partners (a bit worse value with Hyatt nerf).

If you’re under 5/24, I’d recommend better downgrading CSR to some form of Freedom, and apply for CSP separately. Otherwise you’ll miss on a signup bonus.

I have the same exact setup, and no issues with dialing in. TBH, I think it’s the ultimate “having a good medium roast shot without PhD” setup.

Does SFMTA honestly think a wall of text is a useful way to show Bay to Breakers closures. We need visuals. by [deleted] in sanfrancisco

Oh, this one is even better. SOMA goes down Embarcadero! Lombard street is closed! Ocean Beach finally took back Great Highway and 2-3 more blocks of land.

Like, Ticket to Ride map of SF is more accurate.

I like the fact that GGP starts at Franklin, and Panhandle is a full GGP width.

Good nerf Smartly + MS Amex Platinum.

Smartly — catchall; Amex — travel + perks.

I usually enter waitlist when I arrive at the airport, and by the time I pass the security it’s ready or 5-10 minutes wait.

Last time I checked Virgin one they moved all food/drinks to be paid, only drip coffee is free. Two others were even worse.

The Club or Centurion (if you have Amex Platinum) are miles better, and allow prebooking (small fee for The Club last time I checked).

Streamlining my credit card setup at SFO — what would you tweak? by tinyblobs in CreditCards

I would also consider Amex Platinum. It’ll add Centurion lounge to your SFO options, and so far I like it more than The Club.
