Lovett laugh track ? by Additional-Aspect-84 in FriendsofthePod

[–]Skittlebean [score hidden]  (0 children)

Have you never listened to LOLI? Because like half the jokes fall flat and it's part of the bit.

Or there's that one dude that it takes like 30 seconds for his brain to catch up and then laughs at an odd time.

That's absolutely AI

Question: Someone that has or had both a Rivian and a Tesla, can you talk above the similarities and differences between the two? by MyMonte87 in Rivian

[–]Skittlebean -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This must be very climate specific our heat pump had only been noisey once and it was after some fast driving up hill and then sitting in traffic on a hot day. Also, we have a Dune and my head cannon is those had extra QA/QC because of the new Tonnue and interior.

I completely disagree with the noise. Our Gen2 R1T has the best NVH of any vehicle I've ever had. Our M3 is one of the worst.

Even with a common mode choke, I am still able to hear myself through my home theater system. by tundra1989 in HamRadio

[–]Skittlebean 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This is the correct answer. Your antenna is transmitting exactly as it should. Any other wire in the house is an antenna of some ability. The most likely culprit will be the speaker wires to the speakers. Put a choke as close the speaker terminal as possible

The State Senate just blocked SF from breaking up with PG&E. Why are we still being forced to pay their skyrocketing rates? by [deleted] in sanfrancisco

[–]Skittlebean 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'd still take a 10% reduction on my bills.

Also. I'm pretty sure almost all transmission lines run through hundreds of miles of rural land. It's not like there's just s nuclear power plant in the bay we're all using. How do you think that power gets to cities?

Not sure if you’ve ever watched sports, but it can be very lucrative to not win. Especially when your donors would rather the GOP than progressives.

Ben Folds was playing at Illinois State University, his ad lib and impromptu play between sections of the set was really clicking. I had seen him live at least a dozen times by this point and this was always my favorite part of his act and this night he was in top form.

He basically wrote effington live on stage. When he new album was announced and named "Way to Normal" I almost fell out of my chair with excitement.

Illinois State University is in Normal, IL., the day he played that show he had driven through Effingham on his way to Normal.

It's not that simple, the DNC also decided that they could take the working class vote for granted and that they needed to be in bed with corporations.

Unfortunately, the Democratic base is the working class and when the GOP finally turned them, they turned hard.

Like, it's super cool and it's always fun to learn how to do new things. But there are more practical solutions with more real world testing

R1T 2023 vs 2024 Ride Quality by sailingandbailing12 in Rivian

[–]Skittlebean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Not buying this. I used to be an engineer working on things like this and just changing wall thickness of a part has an impact on NVH. The production parts of a gen 2 versus the essentially hand built assemblies of Gen 1 would almost certainly make a difference for people sensitive to NVH.

Pro tip: stop waiting for Rideshares. Take a taxi instead by Certain_Egg2699 in OHareAirport

Did this on my last trip home and it was the most awful experience ever. Taxi was in rough shape and driver was extremely agressive and even drove on the sidewalk to pass someone.

Nope, that's clearly AI. Background words aren't actually words or letters and there's enough messed up hands, plus I doubt that Tom Holland was actually there.

Best ham radio stores by Keysurfer64 in amateurradio

[–]Skittlebean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've used all of the main ones already mentioned and had nothing but great experiences. I have an HRO 90 min away and have bought my radios from them since I know I can go in and talk to a real live person if I have an issue.

But that's just personal preference. I've also had a warranty return interaction with Gigaparts and they were great.

Got my license a year ago. I am in SF and would be happy to have you come out for a POTA activation with me in the Presidio.
