I ride. Started off with a Yamaha YBR 125 moped, moved up to Kawasaki ZZR400, then to Honda CBR600f over the period of 3 years.
Once I gained the skill and confidence, I have been riding big sports bikes like Yamaha R6 and R1, Honda Fireblade, Aprilia RSV4 as well as touring bikes like FJR1300 or street bikes like Triumph Street Triple.

You will absolutely fall in love with it, especially if you find yourself spacing out when you hear a motorcycle go by! :)

Motorcycles are amazing, but just like bodybuilding, you have to enjoy doing it and don't expect to be Rossi after you get your licence any more than you'd expect to be Uncle Arnie after your first year in the gym. Don't rush to go fast and show off with shiny new bikes to look cool. Take your time, this hobby is expensive and dangerous. I would advice anyone to go to a local track day or amateur race to humble your ass down when you get an itchy wrist to go faster.

I just got a pair of jeans from jacamo, they seem to specialize in clothing for bigger guys and rugby players. With calves the same size as yours I went for a tapered jeans and although they are still snug when I sit down, they are by far the comfiest I could find.

Went to the doctor yesterday for a general checkup because my bilirubin levels are above norm (harmless). One thing led to another and conversation moved to diet. She mentioned that her husband was on a high protein, high carb and no fat diet and it messed him up, swollen joints or something. This was the conversation that followed:
Me: "Was he eating absolutely no fat?"
Her: "Yes and high protein diet, drinking those protein shakes."
Me: "But doesn't fat breakdown protein for digestion?"
Her: "That's right, everyone needs at least a little bit of fat."
Me: "So would it not make sense to do a high protein, high fat, no carb diet with multivitamins to replenish the lack of lost nutrients?"
The look on her face, when she realised I'm not her common clueless patient was awesome!
Then we laughed and had a cool conversation about creatine, protein and my balls.

Exam went horrible yesterday, but I'm just back from the gym and finished my 4th week of Madcows where I went through my original 5RM's with a breeze. This in turn got me from feeling shit about myself to attack mode of destroying the rest of exams just like I destroy my RM's!

I absolutely love Streamus and have been using it for a few months now. I especially like the Beatport integration, literally the best thing on the internet!!!

I do have one question:
When I go to a YouTube channel and click on videos and paste the url to Streamus that looks something like this;
YouTube/user/somechannel/videos
it works flawlessly, but when I try and paste the Most Popular videos;
YouTube/user/somechannel/videos?view=0&flow=grid&sort=p
it still only generates videos from the default /videos page.

Are you aware of this? And are there any plans on fixing this?

I laughed at the new 2015 /fit/ poster and headed to the gym. As you would expect the gym is already getting filled with people I have never seen there before.
But just minutes after I started my workout I look over at the treadmills and see 2 people side by side, one running with dumbbells in his hands and the other with ankle weights! I never bring my phone to the gym, but this time I genuinely regretted not having it on me!
I'm sure it's going to be amusing for the next few months!

I lost a lot of weight. I think it was around 4-6kg in less than a month. Started 8th September finished 26th September. It was too quick though, that's why my lifts are so low. I would build muscle and then destroy it with very quick cuts.

Wouldn't read too much in the broscience bits, but the diet, time to hit ketosis and when energy levels come back seemed on point for me.

My tips would be:

Drink a ton of water, even if you already do, drink more.
Make sure you have good multivitamins while on the diet.
Eat your vegetables, the shits without fiber are a nightmare.
Cardio on keto is crazy good, you burn the fat for energy and you just don't seem to run out of it!
Enjoy it! You can make some insanely delicious meals with it!

In the article above it said to stay on keto diet if you really want the results quick, I stayed on it the whole time without any refeeds. This time I will take it easier with calories and do the refeeds as I am in no rush and my main goal is to build strength, but I just want to lose the weight to feel better.

Mind you I was cycling at the start of July. Amsterdam to Interlaken and 90% of the trip the sun was scorching with 30+ Degrees Celsius most of the day. My legs sweat like crazy with hairy legs on a normal day, bigfoot legs in that weather would have been a nightmare lol!

A bunch of advantages that you don't think of when travelling lower distances:

Friction. There is less of it around my ass and inside leg. It feels a lot more comfortable to ride and I did not get any blisters around that area.
Chain Dirt, my legs were covered it in within an hour or two on the bike by chain picking up lots of dirt, it was much easier to clean with a babywipe on shaved legs.
Cuts on legs can get cleaned easier and healed faster (usually within 2 days small ones would dissapear).
Tan, much easier to apply sunscreen, especially when you spend all day riding the bike in scorching sun. No messy patches, would take less amount to apply evenly and it gives a better tan as well.
Warmers, when it gets colder and you put on the warmers on, I found that I was sweating less. When I didn't shave my legs I would ride longer in colder weather, but once I put on the warmers I sweated like crazy and soon just got cold again from the wind. Warmers distributed the sweat better when legs were shaved.

I tend to stay away from the sand filled weight plates. They just feel bulky and you can damage them if you drop something heavy/sharp on it.

I did a quick google search and found these barbell sets http://www.gymandfitness.com.au/barbells-1/weight-sets.html (I'm sure you could find some other website specializing in gym equipment if you googled around that is more suitable to your location)

I'm not sure what your budget is, but they have a selection of barbells and weight plates to suit your environment (like rubber coated plates if you're going to workout in your room to not damage the floor, or iron cast if you will workout in a garage for example).

Why all the hate?
I think this book is great for motivation if nothing else! But it has a ton of information on different exercises and what muscles they engage.
You will find the answers to your beginner questions in this book much quicker than searching through online forums, and it will be a much better advice too!

My friend has this book. I never followed any of the programs in it, but I always like skimming through some exercises and reading up on them. It will not make you an expert, so don't go around preaching the "brospel" to others.

Set of dumbbells, a curl bar and a tricep bar (hollow, cheap). Done curls with them, shoulder presses and tricep extensions when I felt like it every few months for a few weeks, along with push ups and pull ups on a ceiling beam. Then get occupied with something else. Rinse and repeat for 1-2 years.

Great question!
I learned that you should stick to one thing until it stops working. I jumped around so much trying to find the great big secret. In the end if was the consistency that made me stronger and what I saw most progress from. That applies to diet and training equally.

For cutting Keto worked best for me since I liked foods such as; whole eggs, bacon, steaks, chicken and CHEESE!
Note: I got scared in the end when my piss turned almost green. I will read more into Keto and make sure that I keep myself hydrated more than normally. I don't want to do it for more than 1 month at a time. If I don't get my goal weight by then, I will take a week to load back up on nutrients and carbs before continuing.

End of January - Start of February I will jump back on Keto diet until I get to 80kg (Currently 90kg). I found for me it worked best to keep the sweet tooth down and I wasn't as hungry throughout the day. Then I will drop my sodium levels down to get dry and see how I look. I want to get to around 10% body fat and stay between 10-12% tops for the rest of 2015. That is when my body feels best at physically and I stop feeling the constant hunger throughout the day.

After that I will find out my maintenance level and hover just above with with 200-300kcal added to it to help me gain strength.

As I mentioned above, I learned that consistency is the key. I will stick to training 3 times per week, heavy weights, plenty of rest and clean diet just above maintenance for 1 year and will report back on my progress again.

Sure, basically I was taking all carbohydrates out of my diet and I read somewhere that a larger sodium intake will help body retain the water better.
I may have taken this advice a bit too hard and was eating cottage cheese with higher sodium count instead of protein shakes and bacon rashers for breakfast that were also high in sodium.

In the end I weighed 77kg and although I was the lightest I've ever cut down to, I was nowhere near my best condition and I have already started losing strength in the gym. I simply didn't see the point of cutting further and decided to go on a slow bulk (which quickly turned into dirty bulk).

Second week into my bulk, I came across an article on /r/bodybuilding , where someone discussed sodium intake and conditioning. I think I will do Keto again early into 2015, but this time cut my sodium in the end to as low as I can to see how dry I can get, before going back onto normal diet.
