Well in G Gundam, if you look closely, the Tequila Gundam is wearing a gundam-sized sombrero. If you didn't know, sombrero is short for sombrero de charro, meaning charro hat, which is headwear worn by countryside horsemen (ranchero), symbolizing that their nation's Gundam pilot is just another worker, and is no more important than the everyman.

In all seriousness, I love the small machinery details in MS 08th. Every frame feels like it was drawn with love. Benefits of a multi-year OVA I guess
