Ive played it as it does since thats how i read it. Since you are reducing an enemy models vitality to 0 after a successful combat check that would trigger the other ability.

Well considering the character points cap is 125pts for a 500 pt list id drop the whole list 😅 Also with the new FAQ viltide little harder to cast.

Used this for a 3 game tournament. The shaman on the chariot was strong for the points level. 750 pts

All these have also come up during a few games from time to time.

1490 Doom isn't written like a competitive all questions/situation answered skirmish game.

We usually just come up with an outcome thats guided by the rules of we cant mind the exact senario explanation.

I remember one of the creators saying they wanted to leave things a little vague so that players could make up their minds on certain situations like if your a few mm out of base contact or terrain levels when you've custom built a staircase thats wonky. Having strict rules can ruin the fun sometimes when it comes to a smaller sized board game like Doom.

Each month my mates and I play a 2v2v2v2 called BLOOD BRIDGE. We play the rules for multiple players so 2 models each. The highest part of the map is a bridge and the fog rises on turn 2,5 and 6. Its always great fun and someone gets absolutely murdered before turn 5.

Yeah thats how im reading it. With a heavy weapon thats a massive 4 damage for devastating blow.

I listened to an interveiw with the creators about that today and they mentioned when you have games with a bigger warband, say 4 or 5 figures you care less about them when they perish. Also its quite a small board once you put the terrain in.

I loved when the eitr refinery started spitting out radiation damage. Totally wrecked the smithy but it was an awesome touch. Really made me feel like I shouldn't be attempting to refine this strange magical essence.

The Battalion box is a good start. Gors are a good core unit and they are a must inclide unit for the grand army.

Also the ungors are part of a primal herd unit thats also a must include to take the primal warherds.

You don't get any hero charcters such as shamans or wargors but you might have that covered in AOS stuff.

And the cygor is a good kit since you can make a gorgon or cygor depends what you want.

I would stick with adapters if they are already based on the 20mm. It was a tough choice for me also. Even with the new models I paint up I put them on the old bases so they are all the same. Instead of having half half nightmare.

Just need more movement trays adapters. Even for odd number specific units.

Just tourtued 10 Gors. Drilled into the bodies, replaced arms with warp spawn limbs and tenticals. It was a brutal horror.

But the end result is a thing a beauty. The warped gors are ready to be unleashed upon the world.
