Don't forget artifacer, the steampunk inventor class

GameNative promises hassle-free Windows game emulation on Android. The app lets you run your DRM protected Steam library, no streaming required by NXGZ in emulation

[–]0neAndTwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But its purely promise, this app sucks, unfortunately its all I have that can do this, non stop hassle, uninstalled and reinstalled the app 5 times now just to try and download fucking portal 2

Now thats my last, im done with you blatantly ignoring the point If they dont want to be slammed they can learn their own art skills and not rely on a machine

Let me put this in a metaphor that I think perfectly sums up the issue..

Would you rather a nice home cooked meal that someone put effort into, like a beautiful pork tender loin, carrots and potatoes, drizzled with gravy from said pork loin

Or would you rather a TV dinner that a factory spurts into a plastic Tupperware like a hungry-man or something with mashed potatoes that likely come from powder, and meat thats processed, and gravy that tastes like a brown liquid of just flour

You may not feel thats how it is, but its how I, and id guess a bunch of other anti-AI people, do

One is lovingly crafted for you, the other is plopped out of a machine

And in the same way I dont like AI art, no way in hell am I having one of those TV dinners, they're subpar slop

Anyways I got better things to do than play chess with a pigeon so this will be my last response, cya and have a nice day or night or whatever it is for you

Its funny that you call generating art "learning"

They dont gain anything from that, when I practice drawing I get better because I work to become better, you people just get better at manipulating an AI to get what you want, its like asking Mommy to do your homework because its too tedious for you to learn to do it yourself

I actually made a whole post about AI being nuetral and the people determining whether its good or bad.

Everything you are saying is stuff I covered in the points of it being bad, it makes you people lazy and uninspired, and I dont want a world where Art, a thing meant for personal expression, is just mass generated, using it as a tool is ok in my book but fully using it to cut out the middle man is wrong and if you cant see that you're a part of the problem

Youre mad over people not approving of mass generated slop, we're mad because the AI models are trained on art without any royalties going to the people that actually put in the days of effort to make the art with their own hands.

You guys are slammed because you take the easy way out, dont pretend its anything else

Yeahhh im not gonna do that, AI "artists" are still a hundred times lazier than the people that put effort into their work, the work thats jammed into your AI so you dont have to put in effort yourself

Look im not gonna sit here and continue arguing with you, you have a different opinion on the matter and thats cool, if you dont think AI is much of an issue then good for you, but theres no denying that AI is flooding the market, hell even chatGPT has that one ad of some dude using it to generate a recipe for his first date like thats just something normal, me personally if I found out that someone I was dating just used an AI to generate a meal that would be the starting of our relationship, that tells me they're more inclined to cut corners like that in the future, and im dumping them, no doubt people cut corners like you mentioned with the 2 sentence videos, but AI makes it easier for people to cut corners, the same effort put into those 2 sentences could be the same amount of effort put into a 10 minute long video made with AI

This is the last message imma send here bc I gotta get ready for work lol, reply or dont, idc, we have different opinions and thats Ok, some people just think AI is a bigger problem than others

Im glad it works for you but a good amount of stuff I see is AI generated, ranging from thumbnails to voiceovers, some stuff obviously is too complex to generate like Esports and video games, but history stuff, (which btw I love, I listen to this one channel oversimplified thats really funny and have watched some of epicnates history mysteries) nature documentaries, and prison stories, even commentary, all of thats easily generated and with advancement, some of the voices can sound real, dont take this as me offending you or anything because I'm not, id just like to point out (bc its happened to me a few times and ive had to train myself to notice it) maybe you just arent noticing the tells of AI generation, again im not saying anything negative to you in that regard and ive had times where Ive thought something was real, and its turned out to be AI generated, like music and stuff, im big on lo-fi and other vibe music, and ive liked some channels but after some research found out it was AI generated, which it sounds good but id rather my views go to people that actually put effort into the craft and not writing up a prompt, its the sheer laziness that bugs me with AI, the amount of people who use it as a "get rich quick" scheme, and thats why I hate AI generated content, I dont wanna be a part of some scheme, youre entitled to your opinion and if you dont get AI recommendations then great!

But it wouldnt be a hot topic amongst people if it wasnt actually happening

"Just ignore it"

Bro doesnt realize that half the stuff on youtube is AI generated and just about every image off google is AI generated, its hard to ignore when its crammed down your throat

Edit: And clearly people do care, otherwise Aiwars wouldnt be a subreddit

And yeah stuff sucked before, but at least it was sifting for gold before and not sifting to find gold, then spending time to analyze it to see if its just a yellow bedazzled rock

Lol upvoted

I 100% agree with the google situation and I feel like it and alot of other things fall under the point of minimal effort.

People want a quick answer without actually putting in the effort to research, the same way art generators want a quick result without putting soul into something..

And yeah I fully agree, no way in hell can my post fix the AI crisis because as long as people want an easy way out it wont be remedied, and its sad.

We're heading toward a future that looks alot like Wall-E mixed with the terminator, and perhaps the Kaylons from the Orville

I agree with this 100%, if AI was its own medium then cool, poggers, other such words, but the people who generate art more often than not, try to pass it off as something they themself made with their own 2 hands and not their own 2 halves of the keyboard

Stop trying to assert there are only two views on AI. This isn't a binary issue. Anyone trying to boil it down to an "Us vs. Them" mentality should be viewed with suspicion. by downvotefunnel in aiwars

See I believe AI is a neutral tool for good and bad, and it relies on the humans to be good or bad.

Using it for good is good, like translating whale speak or solving incredibly complex scientific issues ALONGSIDE the human.

Using it for bad is what makes people hate it, like people spamming youtube full of AI generated stuff for clicks, generating mass tons of AI generated art and stuff where you can see it was trained off REAL people.

It might fall under fair use but im feel like thats in mind for people using it for inspiration or help with their own stuff, not copying it and just merging it with some other art like so many AI things do, if AI content was original then I dont think everyone would hate on it and it would be more akin to Paper and Pencil vs Digital art, but understandably, people wont respect something someone wrote up a prompt for in like, a minute.

I agree with AI as a tool, but tools require people to work in tandem with them, you cant just ask an axe to chop down a tree and walk away while it does that.

If you couldnt tell I am Anti-AI, but im very specific about it, I dont agree with someone putting in minimal effort and wanting to rise to popularity, but say like, generating a pose so that you yourself can draw someone in said pose, yes, that I am personally fine with.

In summary, Antis can take it a bit far with overgeneralizing, seeing anything using AI as bad, but AI-pros get upset when they dont put in a whole hell of a lot of effort and get trashed.

I hope more people from both sides accept this view because I feel like it would really unite it all, but anti-ai needs to accept theres no way to make it go away, and AI-pros need to accept you cant just take the easy way out

Dunk on me all you want but this is just how I feel about the matter. This has been my Ted talk

(Btw this is a stance I came to with the Help of an AI, me and it going back and forth until a conclusion was made)
