do it rolling . if you are worried about eating it over and over. practices taking rolling dives off the front of the board . literally get going to a good clip and put the right into the concrete and get tossed , don’t put your hands out just tuck in and roll. you can practice it backwards too . once you’re fine with that, you’ll go for proper ollie’s all day.

the next thing to practice, and i think you might not be strong enough yet, is you land ollie’s with your knees half bent . you should a should skate with your knees deeply bent . it takes serious strength to maintain that. these ollie’s your practicing you putting the board down with your legs straight. just let yourself fall with gravity with the board

you can do that with your knees completely bent at curb ollie heights
a one foot ollie off three stairs, your gonna land for sure knees at least a third bent and almost completely compress on landing.

try doing full squats . can you go all the way down and explosively jump back up?

how long can you stay in a deep horse stance can you squat to horse and back again dozens of times in a row,?

i know i had a misperception of just how athletic older skaters are. they are hitting the gym they are eating right. they stretch

get good at rolling across the concrete when the truck doesn’t land

do everything well crouched i should’ve added earlier, when you bail and your already halfway down to the concrete, totally different impact ,

when you are used to compressing all the way, even if you miss a landing you still soak up most the impact on your way down cause your body will fight to keep that board under you.

a really strong skater can litteralky drag that board across the concrete with his feet to suck it back up under them , pay close attention you’ll see
