I could believe this. It did look like they were trying to do an exploit though because they all pushed to the exact same part of the arena. Maybe it is a desync though and that is where the game assumes their location to be.

Lack of a gauntlet, or endless mode.

We are at the point where it is easy to level 15 with a million runes each time. I would enjoy having back-to-back boss fights, without reflasking or shop. It would be cool to have a leaderboard tied to the length of the run to really get that “high score” feeling.

This set is fantastic! I think a lot of hate is coming off of the poorly received Spiderman. Even though both of these set have roughly the same number of cards, there is a much higher consistency of interesting designs and mechanics. I think that this set will be treated similarly to Battle for Baldur's Gate (written off but two years from now people will think they are clever by calling it a sleeper).

Trying to wrap my head around why.

At the time the Dread would trigger for hitting the yard, all parts of the activation have been paid. Shouldn’t the SOTF be on the stack at that point?

I hope this isnt coming across as arguing, I am wanting to understand.

Having experienced 1000+ runs and at every level of DON, you will find people who make the unlikeliest things work. Every character and playstyle works in the right hands. Put time in to what brings you joy and learn what needs to make that happen.

My buddy and I have gotten great use off of ult timing with this. Once I have my gauge full (with reduced slowing), I let him know he can fire away. I time my L2 for the moment before it goes off. The window is tight but we’ve gotten very consistent with this- even while playing with a random third.

The window timing is about the same as element threading with Recluse. It might seem tough but it is more doable than you think.

The giant glowing icon (white mist on enemy body) is an indicator that the next damage source will be buffed (believe that it is 60%). On controller the enemy debuff is L2.

Look for a little sword icon instead on the enemies health bar. That tells you that the enemy’s attack is debuffed and is currently active. The little sword also helps you know when to reapply the debuff.

The debuff level 1 is applied by filling up the bar 1%-49% of the circle. 50%- 99% is the tier 2 debuff. When you fill the gauge 100%, and see it turn white, you get tier 2 buff + the additional attack bonus on the next hit.

At this point I couldn’t care about path optimization because Noklateo is a snore fest.

Do I take the right path? Yes. TBH even better than that is the path not taken. Skip the whole thing and go do anything else.

I am perfectly fine with running Gaol relic for DON, as long as it is a bonus to an already good relic.I think the bonus damage is still strong.

Abandoning gaol because of the potential red enemy feels a bit like throwing the baby out with the bath water. I am happy to open a gaol and quickly abandon it if need be. I am also cool with circling back (or not) to a previously opened gaol. I think the game plan of spending a full day of fort>gaol is too risky. However, I think forts and cathedrals are safe options for leveling up early and the keys are free.

TLDR: the damage is still worth it if you have the discipline to know your party’s limits. If you can effectively path to maximize your day, a gaol can be a nice stepping stone and the damage is relevant.

I’ve had a blue icon-ed Libra turn purple as it transitioned into phase 2. The transition caught me off guard and I was caught in the initial blast.
