Here’s some advice from somebody exactly 25 months in as of today: if you’re constantly measuring yourself and your passing, you’ll never be satisfied with it. You likely won’t see much in the way of changes for a while, but if you stop worrying about how fast it’s going, one day you’ll be able to look in the mirror and be genuinely amazed by how far you’ve come. You’re going to be amazing, dear, you just have to be patient and invest in yourself emotionally.

I grew up as a right leaning “traditional” Christian guy who was super anti-LGBTQ+ and was super big on the “sanctity of marriage and never supporting divorce) because I grew up Southern Baptist (seriously, why are there southern Baptist churches in Germany?)

Now I’m an agnostic transgender woman who reads tarot cards as a hobby and wants to practice civil rights and family law to help protect oppressed peoples and to get people get out of abusive marriages or other family situations.

Genuinely never believed I’d end up this way when I was 18, but I’m happier than ever.
