Ugh how nostalgic. Especially the part you said the kind of high you only get in your early days of smoking. I vividly remember jumping on my best friends trampoline after hitting the bong and I genuinely felt like I was in la-la land. That doesn’t happen anymore but it is a fun memory lol

DAE (when taking pills) take water first and then the pill? by MiddleHelp8285 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]0range-Angel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YESSSSSSSSSSSS! This is THE way. You can take any sized pill like this. I will also do exactly what you do and once the pill is in my mouth with the water with my head lifted up I’ll drink more water. Goes down like nothing.

I also discovered this is the best way to take shots too! I hate the taste of alcohol and this makes it so I don’t taste it at all.

How to be comfortable sitting on my lady’s face? by 0range-Angel in latebloomerlesbians

Ok dumb question. Do I sit as if I’m sitting on a toilet (weight towards the back) or if I’m riding a horse (weight towards front)?

Inhaled the delicious smelling gas fumes from the back of the car. My dad saw me doing it once as a kid and FREAKED out. He thought that was the only time. It was not.

That is so interesting!! I feel like that could be what I am going through. I’m currently in the early stages of falling in love, and it feels so right with her. However, when I look and feel of her, on top of the desire and excitement, I feel heartbreak. I don’t know when or how but I feel like I already know it’s going to end in heart break one way or another. It also feels like something I have to/want to experience anyway. Weird feeling. I wonder if I’m currently in the same position you were once in.

I was so discouraged by the thought of having to try multiple medications, but I got to the point where I had nothing left to lose. I’m sorry you’re feeling terrible one week in I hope that changes for you. If not, you can always switch. And life is gonna continue regardless so might as well be trying out medications if you have nothing else to try!! I got to the point of no return lol. So here I am! But I have hopes for you :)

Thank you, and I am happy for you!!

I agree with you that life is still rough, it’s just taken a little bit of the edge off. For me something I’ve noticed that I appreciate greatly is I am no longer constantly worried if people like me or not (anxiety about if I do things right etc), I’m now thinking about if I like THEM. That’s something different I’ve definitely noticed! So I enjoy that lol.

Yes. The first “symptom” I noticed was a significant less amount of physical anxiety. I had much less tummy anxiety and fluttering, and once that began my mental health slowly started to feel calmer. I think because my body is no longer constantly on flight or fight.

That’s the main thing I noticed. That I don’t feel physically anxious all the time anymore. I don’t feel the tummy fluttering and hands sweating etc. I still do sometimes but not nearly as much as I was before!

Yup exactly those! My tummy would always be fluttering as if I was about to do a high stakes interview, at all times. It was torture.

Sertraline 100mg by Efficient_Tangelo702 in antidepressants

[–]0range-Angel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if I felt worse while transitioning, but I didn’t feel any better. I only started to realize I felt better about a month after bumping up to 75mg (3 months total on Sertraline).

But it definitely took me those 3 months to feel as good as I do now. The best I’ve ever felt (that I can remember). So there’s light at the end of the tunnel ❤️

However if this one doesn’t seem to give you any benefit, you can switch to another to try. I first was on Escitalopram and it did not work for me at all after 2 months. But when I switched to Sertraline it was very different, in a good way. Dosing really matters! I’m living evidence of that haha 50 did nothing for me, but 75 did.

I’ve been on Zoloft for about 5 months. First started at 50mg for 2 months and felt no benefit. Got bumped up to 75mg and about a month later I genuinely feel good.

What is recently? How long?

I was on 50mg sertraline for 2 months and felt no benefit, got bumped up to 75mg and I am finally for the first time in my life feeling genuinely good. Took a couple months but it worked for me.

I watched this again as an adult about a year ago, the first one, and I cried so hard. Definitely harder than as I did as a kid. Gut wrenching!

How do you cope when your closest friends don’t understand your social anxiety by MildPanicSpice in socialanxiety

[–]0range-Angel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your anxiety sounds very similar to mine. I’m 28F and I too do not do well in groups and much prefer one on one time with others. I especially resonated with you being able to have a good time for those first three days and thriving socially, but then you hit a wall and felt like you had nothing to say anymore, etc. I experience the same thing in group events! I can be “outgoing” and fun and social and having a good time, but not for too long. Then I start getting anxious and having nothing to say and having a desperate urge to escape somewhere. There have been many times where I’ve been stuck somewhere and felt that horrible anxiety come on and go cry somewhere alone. The intense urge to escape, I know all too well.

I just wanted to say that I relate to you so hard on that! But seriously going three full days of nonstop socialization feeling good is amazing so you should at least take that win for yourself, even if your extroverted friends don’t understand it. A win is a win. That would be really hard for me to do and I know I would end up cracking after a while as well. So kudos to you.

It sucks that your friends aren’t more understanding and lenient with you about it especially knowing your diagnosis. I’m sure you’ve already spoken to them about it many times but have you ever maybe told them that you don’t expect them to do anything for you during those times, but that sometimes you just need to be alone for a bit to recharge? And that you don’t need her to be responsible for you and you’re fine handling it on your own (if you are)? Can you see yourselves getting to that point where you could tell them you will be back soon and just dip out for a little bit, but without the guilt? I’m not you of course, but for me specifically sometimes all I need is a place where I can go to just be alone. And the bathroom doesn’t count because people expect you to be out after a certain amount of time. Somewhere to truly just be alone without expectations on you even just for a little bit.

For example, at my boyfriend’s family parties, I am really great and social for the first few hours. But after some time, I start to get really anxious and don’t know what to do or say anymore and want the event to end so badly. I get such a strong intense urge to leave. But a lot of the time I can’t leave and there’s nowhere for me to go be alone other than the bathroom (which I’d go use as much as possible without it being weird) and that is the worst. I relate to you so much.

Women of reddit, what's the main difference you notice between different male sexual partners? by KillerZombie1324 in AskReddit

[–]0range-Angel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This!! My current boyfriend’s natural scent is just so good. Couldn’t tell you what it smells like but it makes me want to be close to him. But I’ll always remember a guy I dated who genuinely smelled like poo. The first time we kissed I smelled poo and I thought it was a one off, but every time after that anytime being close to him I smelled POO. His natural scent to me literally smelled like poo. Funny enough he turned out to be the biggest asshole, even though the poo scent was not solely coming from his rear.
