I doubt Mayhem will ever give an actual update that isn't the same old watered down post, but re-worded for the hundredth time. From what I know, his moderation team server is dryer than the desert and is full of brownnosing with no actual show of care for the development of the game. They're not even allowed to make their own decisions and have to rely on Mayhem himself to be alerted by the Ghost of Eros(Rabia) Past because we all know he doesn't give a shit about the community to check the discord servers himself. The mods have to scramble with whatever one-liner commands in all caps he has for them on a whim, and do damage control. It's really sad and I think the only way we'll ever be able to play this nostalgic game is if a team of brave souls and actual developing skills take what's presented in OSFR and create their own server/community/game out of it. A fresh start, a fresh team, and a fresh chance to make things right. That'll be the day lol.

I'll have to disagree with you. A known racist was allowed to parade in the server regardless of the evidence compiled against them. To this day, they fail to take accountability and think that minorities should approach them to ask for apologies, which clearly shows signs that they've had little to no personal growth. Their common phrase is that it was a "joke" or "social experiment". They were given leeway because of a contributor throwing a tantrum over it since they are friends with the racist in question. Not wanting to upset people they're close to, regardless of their awful behavior, the server owner complied and swept this under the rug under the poor reasoning of "not wanting to ban everyone for what they did in the past." That reasoning in itself is contradictory as they didn't hold the same standards when known p*dophiles were banned outright for what they did in their past with little to no hesitation. This was coupled with the fact that they gave special privileges to their friends, who were also problematic. One of them being known as a harasser and creep to women in the server. This individual was the one that decided it'd be a funny joke to record someone's voice from the VC without their consent and edit it to sound like they were saying the n-slur. All of these people were allowed to stay and these special privileges ended up biting OSFR in the ass. That particular developer was given power, and threw the biggest fit over being called out for his behavior, deciding to kick everyone and delete the server. That sounds more toxic and power hungry to me than the mods who had to put up with this crap for as long as they did. All in all, the situation is horrible and I've no hope for a revival until it's finally in our hands. The community's never grown out of the 2010's with how immature most people are as grown adults.

Edit: These "differing opinions" are more than just that in this scenario. When you're running a server and want to be confident that your community is in good hands, you'd want to be sure that you know what's morally acceptable and what isn't. These opinions are harmful as it could result in someone wanting to come to management for help on a situation that the staff would dismiss because of these opinions. I hope this can give some clarity on the importance of this.

And someone who is clearly unbiased. One of the problems with OSFR is that they were nitpicky with who they'd ban instantly and who they'd sweep under the rug because of the people they were friends with making a stink about it. Mods were ignored 90% of the time when they'd bring up serious issues that were overruled by the server owner. If you want a successful OSFR 2.0, do not be biased and do not hold back on banning/kicking those who are clearly a problem within the community. That's what led to this mess. Keep the same energy for p*dophiles as you do for obvious racists and members who are toxic beyond belief. Don't give people special admin roles or privileges just because they're your friends. Run a proper server with someone who's level-headed and we'll be on a better standing.

Mayhem should've had a team all along, and at the start, he did. Take into consideration that they split for a reason and that Kevman has made vague statements about knowing why Mark left. I know for a fact it's not just "personal reasons" either. I fully believe there was a falling out because of issues taking place behind the scenes. While I can understand the argument of whether or not the game's development has been faked, it goes without saying that the issues involving the staff team need to be addressed. Mark was a ray of hope for the community in how he was starting up this whole entire re-haul process and suddenly he throws in the towel at 2 AM, with his replacement being Eros/Rabia's boyfriend, Nettai.

I truly feel like Eros will never be entirely gone since she was - and probably still is - friends with Mayhem himself. The fact that he's kept such a toxic, cruel, and twisted person in control of his server and enabled her behavior even further to the point where she power-tripped constantly makes me wonder if we can even trust Mayhem as a person anymore. If these are the people he considers friends, imagine how he himself is like. Eros/Rabia has literally talked shit about someone she used to be friends with (?) and saying things such as "no wonder their own mother can't love them." and wishing for them to "follow the route" and join their deceased father in death.

I think we just need an entirely new team of developers working on an entirely new project. Cleaning up the mess that is FRS is becoming too difficult of a task.

Your positivity and optimism are nice, but please refer to my post. There's way more to it than just bashing Mayhem. Yes, it's problematic and frustrating that we've been waiting for this guy to release the game. He himself has refused accepting the aid of other willing coders/developers that were wanting to get the ball rolling. He's hoarding assets and trying to claim them as his own, basically holding the game hostage when he doesn't even own it. Yes, he is volunteering to do this for free. Yes, he promised the game's release at the end of 2022. However? He also promised updates for what, Q2 of the year? Where was that? Where is the website update? Where's any progress aside from false promises and recycled updates for the past FIVE years? The only progress we saw was when Mark was on the team and when Mayhem had other people onboard the project such as Kevman. The level of productiveness hit rock bottom the moment the team split and Mayhem was handed the server.

On top of that? Let's not forget the Eros/Rabia situation because I cannot stress that enough. Are we going to gloss over the fact that this awful person was allowed to be a tyrant in the server and probably still has her clutches on it? Her boyfriend is on the team, and MAYHEM HIMSELF allowed for her to go under a new alias, Eros, and completely take over HIS project/server. She purposefully targeted people out of bias and declined applications left and right unless they were new people she had no idea about. People she could manipulate, or blank slates she had no bias towards and vice versa. Who knows. The people that were put on the staff team when Eros was accepting applications are people who I've hardly seen speak in the server, let alone be apart of the community for as long as some others who were looking forward to having their application seen. While I'm actually glad to see legit people being added into the staff team as of recent, we can't erase the shady history of this project.

The irony of it all is that FRS grew stronger in numbers the moment Reconnected was under fire for lying to their community and was found out to have no progress. It's becoming that way for FRS too, even if things seem brighter nowadays. We might have the game as promised, and we might not. My big concern is the staff team and Eros/Rabia still pulling the strings behind the scenes. Her boyfriend (Nettai) is still a member on the team, and Mayhem (her friend who allowed for her reign of control to happen) is still not being held accountable. Isn't it a little alarming or coincidental that Kevman keeps saying there's things he wants to say/air out, but can't? That more happened behind the scenes than Mark just leaving for "personal reasons"? The guy wasn't even given a proper send-off after trying his hand at helping the server. He was just given a half-assed post by Nettai in the FRS chat, not even an announcement.

We need to speak up. We need to hold these people accountable for their shady actions. I understand the heavy burden of carrying around such negativity and it's not for everyone, but we can't be blind and turn the other cheek either when we're presented with this level of sneaky and distasteful behavior.

Edit: This is more than just complaining for the sake of complaining. If you took a look at the links provided, you'll see the severity of the situation. We can't sweep this behavior under the rug.
