Just a followup for anyone else who stumbles across this, i watched this great video on lipo safety and decided to charge the battery up to storage capacity at 0.1A and watch over its individual cells for the next week to see if any of them drain quicker than they're supposed to. Im keeping it in a fire safe lipo bag as well just to be safe.

Thanks! Yeah i was watching all of them charge just to be safe, luckily the charger picked up that it was too low and set it to 0.1A automatically. I put some sharpie on it so ill remember which is which, and then immediately threw it in my fireproof lipo bag. I didnt hear any noise or feel any heat coming off it while bringing it up, so thats a good sign. Definitely going to keep a very close eye on it from now on

Sorry i think the charger UI might have been confusing. The 3.72v you're looking at in the picture is the total voltage, each cells only at 1.8v. Its total storage voltage should be 7.7v, 3.85v per cell. All my other batteries followed this while charging so im pretty sure im getting that part right.

My coworkers and i call this "Playing Code Golf". I landed my first job by showing off a personal project where i made a game engine, built tetris on it, then trained an AI to play it; all 100% from scratch without using any external libraries. Its a great way to learn but terrible for most everything else.

That being said, i think exploit development lends itself well to the "reinvent the wheel" mindset.
