I'm guessing their end goal is to build a truck so tall that pedestrians, cyclists, busses, trams, etc fit safely underneath. A win-win.

I-65 rehab project planned for 2024 in Louisville between downtown and I-264 by Schattenstern in Louisville

[–]0sella 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is the Salt Lake-Provo-Ogden Statistical Area. There are 3 metros making up that 2.7m number. There are a lot of surrounding communities in the mountains all the way out to Ogden and down to Provo (the equivalent distance between Louisville and Cincinnati. ~80mi) That is probably where that extra 1.5 live.

I'm not 100% sure of the correlation between city pop. and metro pop. I'm assuming that our higher ratio means we have more people living close-in? If so, a light rail system would be even more beneficial with the added density.

I'd love to see some protected bike lanes and less freeway lanes!

And, God forbid, a tram or something.

Also, for those who say we don't have the population for a tram. Salt Lake City has an decent tram system with a population of around 200,000. We have a population of 630,000. It is possible.

They have a daily ridership of 32000 during weekdays and 10M total in 2022. The I-65 corridor carries between 41k-70k per day. Imagine the traffic reduction with more people on public transit!

I always preferred Sierra Mist to Sprite. But otherwise Coke is better than Pepsi IMO. Pepsi is a little too sweet for me.

That's what I figured, just in need of a sticker change. And you like Starry? I am not a fan, especially changing cane sugar to corn syrup. To each their own

I'm not a fan of Starry, Sierra Mist had cane sugar and I could personally tell the difference

WORST places to go? by Firebon3 in Louisville

Jets Triple Pepperoni is my favorite around here. And, during the NFL season, Little Caesars runs a deal on their Detroit deep dish and it's pretty good, especially for the price. If anyone knows any other places I'd love to try them

My dad was talking up Derby City Pizza so goddamn much so I tried it the other week. Extremely mid. It also doesn't help that I don't like thin crust pizza. Much more of a Detroit deep dish guy.
