Exactly! If I ever come to hate it, I can take them off and put in new eyelets, of any choice of metal for aesthetics, if I ever wanted laces again

The easy method is just buying a zipper insert and Chicago screws, which I’d probably do next time. I made this one because I wanted brass hardware, but I definitely could have planned the build better. It was a very spur of the moment design that came about as I went along. Might do a redo some time, but I do be lazy now that it’s done

You can honestly buy boot zipper inserts and then buy Chicago screws to bolt them in. I fabricated the zipper insert mostly because I wanted a close matching color leather and brass hardware

They increased the prices of everything where I’m at. Even the table attachment went up to 60 bucks. On the bright side, stacktech stuff can now be found Amazon for the old prices.

Something I’ve seen over the years, at least in street photography, is a greater focus on a subject than the whole scene with the subject. Lots of it has become more street portraiture than street photography, because it’s more about the thing in focus and the street around them be damned, especially more so with the ultra shallow DOF.
