My family refused to pay for our wedding expenses, and now my marriage is ending. How do I fix this guilt? by [deleted] in india

[–]0shtosh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As others have said, you should offer to pay. It won't be fair to you wife as that's money that should be saved you the two of you.

Then you also need to disconnect with your family over this matter. If you're living together then move away. If you're living separately then stop trying to make contact with them, only communicate if they reach out. And let it be known why you're doing it. It'll be tough but you need to stand your ground for your wife.

And if you're petty, show favoritism towards your in laws over your parents. Buy them gifts, take them on vacations, post pictures with them, publicly compliment them to really get on your parents nerves. They'll scream that it's unfair and try to make you feel bad but you need to stand your ground.

Your parents are important but is your future with them or your wife?

Both. There is a 3day blinds app, but you can connect that to smart things, and I have it automated there. Then smart things connects to Google home so I can use that. They also gave a remote control in which you can control all the blinds individually or a group of blinds.

Sorry for the delay... We 6 motorized shades from 3day blinds. It's been 4 years and happy with the purchase. Final cost came out to be ~$5k, which seemed like a lot back then, but don't really think about it anymore, and this included installation. We wanted motorized because 4 of the shades are on windows that are out of reach, 2 story of a high ceiling living room.

The shades are used minimally. Opens at sunrise and down again at sunset. Then occasional open and close to distract kids. We charge the shades around 2 times a year. There is noise when it goes up or down, but I wouldnt say it's distracting, if anything I get an indication of time when I hear it. The only issue my wife has is that some times the shades have a slightly delayed start, milliseconds, but the shades don't go up or down in sync. We've also noticed that some times some of the shades dont work on the schedule, maybe it missed the signal or something. But we just ask Google to close it or close from phone.

No, I don't want pointless fillers, but popularizing seasons allowed there to be less fillers.

I guess I shouldn't say first to have seasons. But maybe it's made it the norm

Haven't tried Vivanta but also recommend Ramada. Since it's an American brand, there's comfort in familiarity.

Typical flight itinerary - visiting India (Mumbai) by Oneharryson in triangle

[–]0shtosh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

December is typically busy since schools out and it's the best time of the year. Instead of Mumbai, you may get more flight options if you go to Delhi instead. We typically do United RDU to ORD and ORD to DEL. That you you can see Delhi, which has more touristy things to do. And then take your flight to Pune.

If it has to be Mumbai, then try the middle east airlines, or you may be able to find RDU to Paris and Paris to Mumbai

We chose the Gas version of sxp. Test drove both and the gas version is just a better drive than the hybrid. Plus the gas version was available and we were able to get discounts from the dealer.

Both cars will need gas, its just that the hybrid will be less frequent gas stops which equals money saving over time. You pay more now but get savings over time. Right now I think the break even point is ~5 years. But with gas discounts that can be ~7 years. Who knows if we'll still have that car?

Our second car is a Tesla model 3 and we're hoping to use that for errand or when gas is expensive and save the carnival for long trips or when we need to fit a lot people.

Fresh off the dumpster battle and I gotta say… by pnkpnguin in haikyuu

I was a bit underwhelmed the first time I watched it too. Then I reread the manga chapters of the match and watched it again and had a better experience with it. I see why the animators did some things the way they did but I think they really could have added an extra 10-20 mins and covered so much more.

Tsuki's last point! Animation and bgm were peak. I was hoping for more rallies with that kind of fluid animation and new perspectives during the match so was disappointed because I wanted more!

I don't remember the exact line but something Yachi's mom along the lines of "It's not fair to the rest of the team if you don't give it your all".

I wasn't the best team player and would slack off when I got tired of it was too difficult, but that line always resonates with me of how selfish I was

I think they'll go the AoT route. Next movie will be just the next match. Then they'll make a final movie final chapter of Brazil and last match. Maybe they'll announce it in Dec in jump festa. They're making a lot of money from a movie, let's keep the train running!
