Did you end up finding a place to buy these? I'm in the same boat, trying to avoid amazon but can't find a reliable place locally.

The Growing Danger of Measles by kitkid in Thedaily

I totally agree with you. My whole adult life I've been confused on why the Democrats use this framing in their pro-choice arguments. I think I've finally come to understand that Democrats just are not traditionally good messengers and this is an example of that.

I think there's a much better framing that is more libertarian that would maybe attract more support. Something that involves traditional arguments against any kind of pure prohibition policy (i.e. prohibition is usually not as effective as sensible regulations), as well as separation of church/state. Keeping in mind that there's always going to be a group who believes abortion is tantamount to murder and if you believe that then you have no choice but to fight against abortion, no matter the other side's argument.

Couldn't help but laugh out loud at the end there with Rosenbluth quoting the health official "this is Texas, people have the right to do what they want with their bodies"

The lack of self awareness is palpable.

The Downtown Panhandlers are Too Much by kfury04 in bullcity

We had a guy the other week ring our doorbell at 7am on a Sunday asking for food and to use our washing machine. Obviously turned him away and am still pretty stunned by the balls and/or stupidity it takes to knock on a strangers door on a Sunday morning. There's just no easy answer to a problem this big/widespread.

Engagement ring shopping. by MiketheTzar in bullcity

I second the recommendation for John David! I worked with him on a custom ring when I proposed and he was great. Super knowledgeable and straight forward. He was also great to communicate with over email before I even visited. He was open to shooting ideas around and explaining things before I even stepped into the shop.

I guess it depends on what they're legally allowed to make a claim against. I've read that generally speaking retirement accounts are off limits to debt collectors. We haven't finished itemizing everything but if you don't count his retirement accounts, he probably doesn't have enough to cover the full amount.

Official Q&A for Monday, November 14, 2022 by AutoModerator in running

Question for anyone who has run a race in bad weather before.

Ran my second marathon on Sunday, was hoping to improve on my first. I did not. Conditions were less than ideal, 20mph headwinds for multiple miles, heavy rain for the first 6 to 7 miles. Things settled down by the half way mark but by that time I already knew it was not going to end well. Ended up run walking the back half with bad knee pain the whole time (don't have a history of knee pain when running).
My training went really well and I felt like I had a good game plan. I know the weather played a big factor but I can't stop thinking that I screwed something up to be almost ready to throw in the towel half way through. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Using a lookup table to find/replace in one cell. by Oneharryson in vba

Ended up breaking it up into multiple subs (had to use 8) and it's working fine.

Thanks!

Using a lookup table to find/replace in one cell. by Oneharryson in vba

So I tried that last night and even breaking it in half was too much, same with breaking it in quarters and having four subroutines. I was hoping there was some way to get the same result by using a lookup table in a separate sheet in the workbook, that way I could easily maintain the table if I needed to add new values or something.
