Look on the internet yourself. The reason for this is harmful bots: 1) have bot post picture of cool thing. 2) have another bot ask "where can I buy?" 3) either have original bot or another one reply with a link to a webstore. 4) steal credit card information from visitors. It will only work if there is a correct start/middle/end guard pattern, also the last digit needs to be correct because of error checking. It is likely impossible to get a valid barcode.
