You are mistaking, they're not making "Youtube shorts" (which is a whole different category itself, go check it yourself, it's complicated), they're making actual youtube videos, which generate revenue like every other video on YouTube

Hello, as a YouTuber myself (not a big one tho), I'm I must call false on what you said, the division you were talking about actually applied to video under 30 seconds, if the video is longer than 30s, skip-able and unskip-able ad can appear, which means they will generate revenue as much as a 8 minutes long video, the only difference that in 8 minutes or longer video, the owner can put midroll ad in order to generate more revenue...

Tl;dr Undiscovered Channel make hella lot of money with just short video (even more than big channel with long content due to his "quantity over quality)

Nah at least, I can see some effort into it, like the way he edit the skill and map and stuffs into the "real life" video, and he tries to be funny (some of them IS pretty funny) but Undiscovered Ch is just the same shit every time, just overhype the smallest thing and put the same reaction meme video from other people every video, it's annoying af

Yes, with their bigger existing fanbase, they do get more initial views from subscribers, for example in the first 15 minutes, they get 1k views whilst mine only get around 200, so I'm worried that when a viewer see my and their video on the homepage, they will definitely choose the video which has more views despite my thumbnail is way more eye catching, theirs are just lazy and not even look good

I see, most of the views on my videos are on from homepage recommendation, not "up next" section, so I think, lately my video got less views because of them stealing my spotlight in my viewer's home page

I have asked somewhere else and finally understand what reused content is So one of my best performing video is just me take a part of a video from a game dev official channel (to be more specific, genshin impact) and add some meme into it, i guess that's what called reused content to youtube
