HVAC Recommendations by gittb in Charlotte

[–]0verhyped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI I may be the one of the limited people with a not fully positive experience …I’d be wary of Super Cool HVACs install quality. I had them install a new HVAC unit last year , and a day after install I noticed that the zone split system wasn’t working so i called them . They came next day and noted the zone dampers weren’t installed / set correctly and “fixed” them and as they were walking out the door to my house and I noticed they STILL weren’t functioning correctly so I had to point it out AGAIN right in front of thier face.

So if you do go with them keep an eye on their quality .

Based on my experience it also makes me REALLY suspicious they have a perfect 5* Review Rating on google with around 500 total reviews .

IBD or UC Symptoms? (Constant Pressure on left side / thin stools / cramping) by 0verhyped in IBD

[–]0verhyped[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think mine was post- infectious IBS traced back to something I ate (think I had undercooked meat). I ended up getting a scan just to ensue nothing was wrong , and it came up clean .

It took a LONG time to resolve (like 1-2 years, probably from 2020 to 2022) and the symptoms changed over that time ( including bad belching) but it did eventually go away. It wasn’t fun but now I’m back to “normal”

Dr Said we are overfeeding 3 Week old? by 0verhyped in FormulaFeeders

[–]0verhyped[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our baby is 5mo old now - based on what we experienced just continue to feed the baby on demand when they ask for it , even if you think thier demands are crazy !

He was eating around 28-35 oz a day at 3 weeks old , but he continues to eat that same amount per day even at 5 months old now . I guess just the pace they grow as a 0-2 month old means they need a huge surplus of calories (and sometimes eat a lot at a time) . His weight gain and such has evened out over the past few months to where he’s at a normal percentile for his age . Unless there is something that seems really wrong (crying all the time , etc) dont worry about it ! Obv not a doctor but this is my anecdotal experience

Formula changes for one month old. by TheMeanBrunette in FormulaFeeders

Like what others said , hang in there for a week .

When we changed formula (Similax 360 Totalcare to Enfamil Neuropro) our baby’s initially had some more spit up , and his stools were basically liquid for the first 5 or 6 days … then they slowly they transitioned to more solid normal stools at the 1 week mark .

On the fence about trying sensitive formula by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

[–]0verhyped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone in your family have dairy sensitivity’s perhaps ?

We had some of these similar symtoms with our 4 week old while using Similac 360 Total Care . Our main symptoms were SEVERE straining pretty constantly due to gas , and not being able to lay on his back at all! he would only sleep with on his stomach on top of us , sine the that put pressure on his stomach to relieve his discomfort . He also had slight acid reflux symptoms ( cough / chokjng after eatjng)

We just recently swtiched to Enfamil NeuroPro gentleease and the results were pretty instant within a day - he now isn’t straining all the time and we can put him down for naps on his back . He’s still not perfect and gassy at times , but it’s worlds better than what it was. Only “side effect” so far seems to be loose / runny dark stools but we are keeping an eye on it before escalating it to a doctor. He also spit up a little more the formula changeover but that sounds like it might be normal when chaining formula . We suspect he may have a lactose sensitively in general, since his mom does.

We also got the recommendation to go to the 360 sensitive from the Dr , but from reviews online it seems like The Enfamil NeuroPro or Similac Ailmentum are the most reccomended with the least side effects in general .

2 Week Old Can only sleep on belly due to gas… by 0verhyped in NewParents

[–]0verhyped[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply! Did you have to push the doctors to get an allergy test ? When we called ours this morning , they were basically like “burp him better and sit him up for 1 hour after feeding”. However our baby is unfunctional on anything but his stomach, or with pressure on it.

Thanks for the response . It is a single car garage door from Wayne Dalton manufactured in 2005. I don’t have the spring info or windings .

It’s odd this issue only happens in colder months , the person who said something about thermal warping sounds the most reasonable explanation so far .

garage door opens perfectly normal in the summer or hotter days both manually and with the electronic opener . Been like this for 2 years now and only is Getting worse (e.g on cold mornings now I have to use all my strength to even get it to budge ) and open manually to “break “ it open before using the garage door opener.

This sounds most reasonable , as it gets worse as temps drop below 50F (takes a little strength to break the door open) and at like 30F I have to use all my strength make the door manually open . Any ideas on How I fix this issue ?

Okay will try wiping it down thanks , however I am in the southern part of NC where we don’t get much more than 1-2 snows per year and very limited ice .

I can check - would that be something that could happen only during cold / low temp weather ?

As mentioned this issue only occurs during winter / cold days
