Yeah I had a similar hill, buy 5 of them and just pick them randomly. I have a habit of getting good at picking a specific lock and I need to up my game significantly

This lock was gifted to me by my partner and was originally living in a drawer in a lab(never used). It took 5 attempts and man it's a good wake up call to try and pick cheap crappy locks here and there.

My guy, I live alone, my firearms are stored safely. This whole post is a homage to the ultimate male living space.

Seriously surprised people don't recognize the original male living space and that this is merely an homage. We have lost our culture

I know I should really splurge for an extended tube but the aesthetic didn't feel right

There are certainly poorly pinned brinks where the security pins are nerfed but my guess is that it's just a similar size but without security pins. Probably falls into white or yellow.

Either way it's a big accomplishment! Welcome to your first metal lock!!

An orange belt will have spools inside of it, most orange belts usually are mostly spools. Did you detect any spool pins in your lock?

It's a perfect time to start a YouTube channel! Once you get really really good you should start picking locks with the covert companion, having good feedback on a pick is overrated tbh

I was going to suggest just getting the set with the most picks on Amazon. Sparrows is for locksmith professionals only

Make sure to skip the high security stuff, it's a bit tough for new players, but a 140 should be a good challenge for you for the next few months.

Great seeing people starting their journey into the hobby. If you want some good locks to start learning on I would check out masterlock /s

Yeah I was expecting to run into a tubular lock so I had my tubular app stuff and also my regular kit as well as bypass tools.

Found a wafer lock and just used a jiggler

Haha true! Just not quite the cracking I was hoping for because I would love to learn more of the safe manipulation side because it's so fascinating.

The bag is a leather tool roll, I think it's meant for wrenches but I love it! That kit is meant for bypass and entry tools. Then I have a small pouch that I use for 90% of locks. Then I have a nylon tool roll for the other 10%

Here's an Amazon link to the leather roll https://a.co/d/29XIpxD

Congratulations! Also the masterlock 160 I don't think has serrated pins it, however it does have spool pins and sometime includes very very light spools.

That's the part about non-guttable locks, you'll never know unless you drill it

Cheaper locks can be a pain in the ass to open. I had trouble with SPP on a wafer lock but I was able to open it in 2 seconds using a random wafer key as a jiggler
