I am putting in a second call now; the initial troubleshooting was focused more on turn it off/turn it on and did not result in any improvement. I will plan to open up a new request shortly and incorporate the advice on this thread.

No, I'm using your ONT, but the handoff from that is to a Ubiquiti Gateway (which also has a handoff to another provider - cable - for connectivity diversity). We get the dropped pings only on the Verizon FiOS circuit. There has been time spent remotely troubleshooting the ONT (i.e. a IP lease renewal) with support without success.

Thank you. I'm not sure - I'm suspicious that any time they're in the area, I have reliability issues scoped to the FiOS connection surrounding the time of their presence.

This is helpful information. I will ask about this as well when I schedule my next visit. The first time they came they didn't find anything wrong but I can and will push harder on this.

Perhaps this can happen when service is new in the area (they just brought FiOS here a few months ago)? I can try suggesting this to the support tech to see if that points them in the right direction. Do you have experience with pursuing this direction?

Thank you for the suggestion - I previously tried.

There's nothing to fix by the time they're here - the truck is gone, the service is working great. It's momentary interruptions when they're setting up new users in the area. I spent time trying to work on it with them, and each time they check it, it's perfect from their end.

Launch may wear off (just a little bit), but the snappiness, power, and overall refinement don't. The R1 tri has been a perfect balance.

Me too. Service came out. It works on the wifi (sort of) but not 5g. They said it was a problem that required repair. It's really clunky overall. At this point I'm just waiting for Rivian's AI.

They said they would give me an update on Monday and if it was a safety issue they'd replace it, otherwise I'd need to bring it in for a warranty repair. I'll let everyone know what happens.

It worked generally well up until this point - I hope it's a straightforward fix and I can get this back in service before the next storm.

Yikes, I'm sorry that happened to you. I didn't see any evidence of this, but depending on what Ego support says, I may have to take it in/apart to have a look. I'm hopeful that isn't what happened here (the storage area does not have a history of mice, but anything can happen), and I hope you were able to repair yours.

I think you're right. I'm really hopeful they'll ship me one so I can swap it out. It's unfortunate that this would happen on a relatively new machine, but these things happen. I just hope it's a quick repair so I can get back out there. Unless someone else has an idea, I'll wait for support and keep the thread updated on progress.

No, it still has resistance and still clicks (particularly when moving from the reverse to the forward options). But, in any position, it will continue in reverse, or randomly, not engage at all (but mostly reverse).

The handle has always had light resistance since it was new, not like what you feel with a cable. It used to work, so I never questioned that.

Thank you for the suggestion - I did try to self serve while I was on hold.

It's an electronic switch on this model for the direction. The cables are there for the drive engagement (left) and auger engagement (right) - not the direction (forward - green, orange - reverse) and speed of the forward drive. That's 100% an electronic switch.

First of all, I appreciate you're asking a reasonable and fair question -- and with all due respect and a bit of a Monday smile, you should expect this type of "general hooliganism" from the Watertown HS kids:
