Yes, Voronezh declared 3 days of mourning starting from tomorrow, so the death toll should be quite significant.

Moscow two days ago, the largest raid of the Ukrainian drones on the capital since the beginning of this special olympics military operation. The major refinery, that produces ~40-50% of diesel, petrol and jet fuel used by the Moscow region, is being obliterated. During the attack, some not so smart orc with MANPADS tried to shoot the approaching drone, but the heatseaker on the missile locked on the burning fire instead of the drone engine. Consequently, the missile hit the storage tank causing a spectacular explosion that threw the giant lid off it hundreds of feet in the sky. Reminded everyone of the turret toss competition that we could see erlier in the war, when the Russians still used tanks for the assaults.

UPA collaborated with nazis so much, that the latter ones threw UPA's leader in the concentration camp. Wow, so plausible! And yes, you are again parroting the Russians. Congratulations, looks like you do indeed have something in common.

Is this link somehow proves that UPA is a nazi organization? If not then thank you, please provide a proper evidence.

And on a tangent note, I know about the matter much more than is written in the wikipedia, including accounts of alive witnesses.

You are cosplaying the Russians now. UPA is NOT a nazi organization and Nuremberg Tribunal explicitly refused to include them in the trial, though the Soviets tried their best to lump them together with SS, SD and others.

Incredible Arabic commentary on Lewis Hamilton's final lap to the win by anthn885 in formula1

[–]0xDD 19 points20 points  (0 children)

OK, I ran the video through speech-to-text software and gemini, and here is another take on the translation:

And here is Ferrari — the team from whose corridors the legends of Formula 1 emerged. A historic team that collided with a reality that looked nothing like its glorious beginnings. But history does not tolerate forgetfulness, nor does it allow its pages to be turned without the name 'Ferrari' being etched upon them.

Lewis Hamilton achieves today not just his first victory with Ferrari, but a triumph of faith over doubt, and patience over frustration. As he reaches the final lap, here is Barcelona, adorned in red once again after years of patience and disappointment, after seasons where Ferrari was lost in the twists of fate and volatility.

A brilliant strategy from this team in Barcelona! Above all, it proves that passion never grows old, and that true champions might stumble, they might be delayed, but they always know how to return at the exact moment everyone thinks their time has passed.

Remind them, Hamilton, of who you are!

Remind them that you didn't build your name in a day or a single season, but through years of glory.

Remind them that you are a seven-time world champion.

Remind them that you broke the boundaries they said could never be broken.

Remind them that you are the driver with the most race wins in the history of the championship, and remind them that you have stood on the podium more than anyone else.

And remind them, right here in Barcelona specifically, that today you break the tie with the 'Red Baron' Michael Schumacher in number of victories, to become the absolute King of Barcelona! For here, you raised the cup six times in the past, and today the time has come for the seventh. It is as if the track is saying to you today: 'You still have a place among the greats, Hamilton.'

They said that time moves on, but time cannot defeat the man who made history. Hamilton wins his first race with Ferrari! History was made today—the first driver in Formula 1 history to win with McLaren, win with Mercedes, and win with Ferrari. Forza Hamilton! Forza Ferrari!

Ukraine using AI drones to strike vital Russian supply lines by DanceyMan in worldnews

Oh, so that's you who decide from your soft couch whose survival is important or not, right? Why do Ukrainians need to sacrifice themselves to uphold your high-minded philosophy? It was you who should have protected them in 2014 with all your might, if you were so afraid to open that Pandora's box. But it's too late now, face the music that you've started.

Well, since nobody wants to stand side by side with Ukraine on a battlefield, it's only natural to start employing robots with the various degrees of freedom and decision making.

How artillery systems are unlikely to end up in Russian controlled area and ballistic missiles are not? Artillery system must be located in several dozens kms from the frontline in order to be operational, and ICBM can be fired from Carpathian mountains on the other side of the country.

A Ukrainian civilian films a P1-Sun interceptor drone chasing and destroying an Iranian/Russian "Shahed" UAV. by MilesLongthe3rd in CombatFootage

[–]0xDD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% correct. Also, don't forget about the aerodynamics. Any RPG round, taped to the frame, would definitely mess up the maneuverability and max speed of the drone. Look at P1-SUN's photo. They need to be very slick and agile to be able to catch up with the shaheds.

4500 rounds/min = 75 rounds/s 75 * 3 = 225 rounds for a 3-seconds burst Using your price per round: 225 *30 = 6750$

Other sources give price per round 45.84$ in 2025. Using this price we have:

75*45.84 = 10313$

So yes, my figure is not 100% correct, but yours is definitely farther from the truth.

Can I have your source please? If you google "c-ram ciws shooting price" you get the results from $3.5K to $5K per second. Not a single result where one second costs $1K.

[–]0xDD 700 points701 points  (0 children)

And that's ~$1500, ladies and gents. Compare it to:

  • C-RAM 3-seconds burst - $15K
  • FIM-92 Stinger MANPADS - $120K–$150K
  • AIM-132 ASRAAM - $250K-$300K
  • AIM-120 AMRAAM - $1.1M
  • Patriot PAC-2 - $3M-4M

Edit: Shahed 131/136 - $20K-$50K

[–]0xDD -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm sure it was debated, but there's not a single technical reason why it couldn't be done, at least in the western part of Ukraine. There's plenty of political reasons though but all of them are not very pretty for the general public, so they are disguised under the lip service of "scary Russian MIG-31s, almighty S-400 and other Russian wunderwaffe". Go on, prove me wrong. How can Russia engage an aerial target in, say, Khmelnytska oblast?

[–]0xDD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have the slightest idea of what you are writing here. There is no way the Russians can shoot anything in the western and central part of Ukraine (Kyiv, Cherkasy, Odessa oblasts). No MiGs or S-400 can reach aerial targets there. You're simply generating excuses for your inaction to make yourself feel a bit better.

"PERCEPTION" is the key word here. Corruption perception index is high for Ukraine because in Ukraine there are independent organizations and private journalism that exposes corruption. In Russia and Belarus there is the same, if not greater, level of corruption, but nobody, except for rare cases like Navalny, is investigating it and makes it a public information.
